will you do all in one version that replaces all minutemen? the armor collection by the OG mod author only adds it to the level list. its a big wish of mine for a complete replacer
yeah i was referring to that mod. the author injected it into the level list but it doesn't replace vanilla outfits unfortunately. that was my reason for comin to you. your interpretation of the mods actually replace vanilla gear which i love. no disrespect to tumbajamba.
I will think about it. I would need to find out first, what is best practise to do such a thing in FO4 because there would have to be be various different outfits distributed to NPCs. There are only ~3 instances of generic minutemen spawn in the game and I would not want it to be distributed randomly either. One way to do it would probably be to built upon a mod that overhauls the faction with ranks and overwrite (as a patch, not plugin replacer, so it has dependency) their outfit selectively (with permission ofc).
Possibility of a version that replaces only the colonial duster (Preston's Outfit)? I have a mod that replaces all Minutemen outfit except for the colonial duster, which are reserved for Minutemen with the highest rank.
what happens if i have some minutemen wearing their outfit and armo and install this mod? And does it work with You and What Army and We are the Minutemen?
Installing in an ongoing save might result in some of them running around naked (for some time). New spawned minutemen wear the outfit correctly. Faction overhauls that introduce new faction records need patching. But (at least) with WAtM, where you have multiple ranks of minutemen, you probably would want to get a comprehensive set of replacer outfits to make them distinct from one another. I think Militarized Minutemen does that pretty well (if you like the artstyle).
Hmm, I tested again both files and I get the duster variant only in the version that says so. The "armored only" Version gives me the variant without the duster.
Have you tried spawning in new minutemen? Because if you have initially loaded the duster version, you might not see a change immediatly on existing npcs.
Ya, if you use W.A.M, a Robco patch would be best (or if you just want to go plugin free). I will look into that some time (if no one else does ist faster^^)

edit.: now there is an option with armored version only (this version does not have the duster).
