so i see in the FOMOD installer, the options are base, 25, 50, 75, 100, what is base? so i can make it sutable for my game and ears (the sirens should be loud but i dont wanna make em too loud)
No worries, Yes this is. Also the recommended mod SP4 RAIN RADS AND SHELTERS RE-UPLOAD will provide the raditation rain to the commonwealth for a added immersion efferct.
This doesn't replace the siren sound with a siren sound. During a storm the game weather uses 4 different types of thundering sounds. I had replace 1 of those thundering sounds with a siren sound. That way it makes it sound like a near by settlement is sounding off a warning. Sorry for the late reply.
yeah i don't like the ones that cut off too soon, they need a kind of overlap to sound more realistic, i watched a video of how these sirens operate and it's funny because they aren't speakers like one would think, they are just an object that spins that has notches and while it speeds up it makes this sound and when there are multiple of them running the overlap of one winding down while another winds up is the good effect of the overlap so it actually ends up sounding more realistic. this video takes it's time getting to the test, but it's one of the best i have heard so far on the internet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5FwsIkJCXU
after listening to your video, i feel like the sirens need to start before the storm, because in that clip i think the siren was a bit late, but it sounded good because you have the overlap making it sound like there were multiple of them.
Yes. There is a video showing what you had mentioned. I wasn't hiding anything. It just makes it seem like two settlements are independently close to one another.

but if we used mods that replace the vanilla siren sound, would this be effected?
Because if it uses the fallout 4 siren sound effect, maybe it will be affected by overwrites?
