Looks familiar. Is he the one member in the family which the youngest girl wrote her diary about daily life and became an unmarked quest? I really like this little quest despise it's unmarked. Sad for the family too. Although they might had a conflict before the war, their fate is much worse in post-war.
Yes, that's the one. There are pages from Eliza's journal scattered around Cranberry Island, along with a hand drawn map that spawns at a random location. Eliza isn't one of the named feral ghouls, which means she didn't survive long enough to become a ghoul herself (or Bethesda opted against adding feral ghoul children).
She mentions in her diary that she's going to a Halloween party in Far Harbor on October 22. If it was a slumber party, she wouldn't have been home with the family when the bombs fell. Or, like you said, they didn't want to add feral ghoul children, also very possible. Thanks for the mod, I really liked this series of quests/lore/etc!
I missed/forgot the slumber party, so yeah, that's a possibility too.
Either way, I'm glad you're liking the characters. I did my best to make sure their restoration made logical sense rather than simply restore them because I can.
Some of these cut NPCs are easier to restore than others. Nathaniel already had a complete NPC (Actor) record, so all he needed was worldspace coordinates to make him appear in game. The hardest part was finding a location on Cranberry Island that wasn't already occupied by other enemies. I didn't want him to be so close to the bunker, but it was the only spot between the bunker and the docks (my headcanon is that he was on his way home from the big island) that didn't have enemies. Otherwise, I'm not sure I could've found a logical spot for him on Cranberry Island.
