ADDS REALISTIC "CHEATS" TO WORLD OBJECTS TO MAKE THE FAR HARBOR DLC MORE CONVENIENT AND FUN, WITHOUT FEELING LIKE YOU'RE CHEATING!

If you like the mod "GO4 Immersive Cheats," which added hundreds of immersive cheats throughout The Commonwealth, you'll love this mod!  "GO4 (Gameplay Optimizations for Fallout 4) Immersive Cheats (Far Harbor)” adds hundreds more cheats across The Island (the Far Harbor DLC is required).  An immersive cheat is something added to the game that makes it easier to play, without feeling like you're cheating.  Examples of what you'll get with this mod include: Exploadable vehicles anywhere on The Island have car parts, fusion cores, and other loot.  Main locations on the Island (like The Harbor, The Nucleus, and Acadia) have trunks to store your stuff, water fountains to drink from or fill bottles with clean water, and full beds to get the Well Rested bonus.  A new copy of the book "You're SPECIAL!" is found at The Last Plank, so you can increase your Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, or Luck.  Dead Mirelurk hatchlings, fish baskets, and Dolphish have free meat you can sell or cook to eat.  Drinking each flavor of Vim gives you caps and empty bottles you can refill with water (if you're playing Survival Mode).  Plus there's much, much more!

🆕  WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.2 includes the missing .ba2 files to display 118 on the Vault trunks added by the mod.

👍 PLEASE ENDORSE & COMMENT
If you like the mod, please endorse it. The mod has been thoroughly tested in the game with the Survival Mode setting enabled, but if you encounter an issue or find a place where I should add a cheat, please post a comment.

🏁 QUICK START WITHOUT VORTEX
  • Make sure you have the Far Harbor DLC installed.
  • Save your game, or if you are playing with Survival Difficulty enabled, sleep in a bed or sleeping bag.
  • Exit the game.
  • Download the .zip file from Nexus.
  • Extract the file contents (the .esp and two .ba2 files) to your Fallout 4 Data folder.
  • If you've downloaded a previous version of the mod, and an update is available, complete steps (4) and (5) for the update and select Yes to the prompt to replace the files.
  • Start the game.
  • If you also have "GO4 Immersive Cheats" installed, select Mods and choose the option to change the load order.
  • Move this mod down the load order so that it is below "GO4 Immersive Cheats".
  • Return to the start menu.
  • Load the save you made.
  • Travel to a known location on the Island and confirm items added by this mod are available (for example, verify the Vault trunk and other items are added to The Harbor).

⚙️ HOW IT WORKS
The mod required the Far Harbor DLC. It adds activators, containers, invisible containers, furniture, and other items to many locations on The Island without replacing existing statics, so it's “pre-combine” safe.  Furniture and trunks added to many locations are marked as "player-owned," so you can sleep on the beds and safely store your stuff in the trunks.

🎁WHAT YOU GET

  • Lootable Vehicles:  Crafting items are scarce on The Island.  This mod makes collecting the scrap you need easier, so you can spend your caps on other things!  The fusion-powered cars and pickup trucks throughout the island, which have more paint than rust have valuable loot for the taking, such as fusion cores for power armor, car parts you can scrap for steel, and other items useful for crafting.  Unlike GO4 Immersive Cheats, which makes only vehicles near settlements in the Commonwealth lootable, this mod makes every explodable vehicle on The Island lootable.
  • Bounty from the Sea:  So, you can't walk far on The Island without stumbling on a basket of fish, a Mirelurk hatchling taken from a lobster cage, or a beached Dolphish.  You should be able to get a free meal from them!  Right?  Well, now you can! Just activate each one you find and take raw fish or Mirelurk meat you can cook to sell for caps or eat.
  • Fish Soup Experience:  If you eat the Fish Soup you make with all the raw fish you collect with this mod, you'll get a +10% experience bonus for 2 hours (it's like the Squirrel Stew experience bonus, but five times greater).
  • Beds Where They Should Be:  Sure, there are a few sleeping bags and mattresses on the ground found on the Island, but if you want the Well-Rested bonus, or if you're playing Survival Mode and you want to get enough rest to avoid getting sick, you need something that will let you sleep 8 hours or more, and sleep for free. This mod gives you the free sleep you deserve, with full beds in the main locations: Arcadia, The Nucleus, Longfellow's Cabin, and The Harbor.  If you have 10 caps to spare and want to treat yourself, you can still pay for the bed in The Last Plank.
  • Beds Where They Could Be:  Ever walk into a bus or a truck trailer and think how it would make a great spot to camp for the night?  With this mod, you can.  Just about every bus and truck trailer has a mattress you can sleep on that's so comfy, you can sleep to your heart's content, and get the well-rested bonus.
  • More Crafting in Convenient Places: The missing crafting stations have been added to locations on The Island.  Outside Acadia is a Power Armor station.  Inside Acadia is a cooking pot, because the settlers there have to eat!  Right?  Longfellow is tough, but not tough enough to drink only seawater!  A freshwater pump is now outside his cabin.  He has a chem station you can use, too.
  • Trunks to Store Your Stuff:  After a long day of scavenging, you just want to have a place to put your stuff so you can get a good night's sleep before bartering in the morning.  So why does The Harbor have no storage trunks you can use?  This mod adds a Vault 118 trunk to The Harbor in one of the shops for you.  There's another Vault 118 trunk next to one of the merchants inside Arcadia.
  • Free Clean Water:  With so many good locations on The Island, you'd think you could find some water fountains with clean water!  This mod will quench your desire with clean water fountains at The Harbor, The Nucleus, and Arcadia.  This is especially necessary if you're playing Survival Mode, where getting dehydrated decreases your chance of survival.
  • Water from Standing Pipes: You can drink or fill bottles from all red-painted standing pipes with valves you find.
  • Recycling Vim Bottles:  If you play Survival Mode, you just can't get enough bottles to fill with the clean water you need to survive.  This is especially true on The Island, where few bottles clutter the houses, and merchants rarely sell them.  Now when you drink any flavor of Vim, you'll get both a cap and a bottle you can fill.  The mod doesn't let you recycle Nuka-Cola and other bottles. For that, you'll need the other GO4 Immersive Cheats mod.
  • More Free Bottles: Trash cans filled with empty bottles are added to The Harbor, The Nucleus, and Acadia. There's also a pillar of Vim bottles for you at The Harbor. They're free for the taking to scrap for glass to make a greenhouse, or to fill with water if you're playing Survival Mode.
  • You're Even More SPECIAL!  For using this mod, there's a special gift for you--another copy of "You're SPECIAL!"  Find it on the dresser in the room you rent in The Last Plank.  Read it to add one point to the attribute you choose: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, or Luck.
  • Survival Mode Fast Travel:  As DLC locations go, the Island is a big place. Walking the same paths over and over can get a little monotonous with Survival Mode since Fast Travel is prevented.  This mod makes traveling more fun by allowing you to fast-travel only to the main locations on the map that you have discovered.  Fast travel is unlocked to The Harbor, The Nucleus, Arcadia, Longfellow's Cabin, and three other settlements.

🚧 LIMITATIONS OF THE MOD
Survival Mode isn't required to use the mod, but some gameplay features mentioned in this description (like filling bottles with water) are available only if playing with Survival Difficulty is enabled. To make it compatible with the GO4 Immersive Cheats mod, the name of Iguana Bits is changed to Raw Fish Bits, which can be looted from fish baskets and Dolphish.  The name of Iguana Soup is changed to Fish Soup, and Iguana on a stick is changed to Fish Stick. If you would rather have the original names for these but still want the +10 experience bonus added to the soup, use the mod GO4 Survival (No Fish & Bird Food).

✋ DISABLING THE MOD
Before disabling the mod, make sure to remove any items you've stored in the containers added by the mod (e.g., the Vault trunks at various merchants). Disabling the mod will remove all of the items added by the mod. Items you've looted from vehicles and containers will remain in the game.

🤓 INFO FOR GEEKS
To protect "pre-combines" and keep your game running fast, static items weren't replaced by containers with the same models. Instead, the time-consuming process of placing invisible containers on items throughout the game was used to give the illusion of taking things out of the static items in an immersive way. Although some static items appear to be missing, they were not deleted. They were either moved to a new location in the same cell or moved out of view. Only one item was deleted, which was a movable trash can inside Arcadia, because it was in the way of a new trash can added by the mod. Since it was a movable static item, deleting it didn't break the pre-combines. The texture and the material swap were added to the mod to change the number on the Vault trunks from 111 to 118 because the Vault on The Island has no Vault trunks (go figure)!
