I just came back and saw that no one had dropped any feedback on this yet which just won't do. This is an exceptionally cool spot that feels like it fits perfectly into the atmosphere, and should have been included in vanilla. I love the sniper's nest feel of heading up to this place to take refuge.
I'm on a heavily modded load order, so I don't know if it's a conflict/load order issue, but I have some items overlapping the bed and stairs area. The cooking pot is buried mostly under a crate. However, immersion-breaking as that may be for some folks, it's all fully functional, and apart from that, I love this genre of claustrophobia-inducing player hideouts. lol
Thanks for the feedback, I will look into this. It was tested on an otherwise vanilla version of the Next Gen Update, so I will see if this is a result of using the previous patch or another issue.
Hey, just coming back to let you know that it had to be a load order issue on my end I've changed a ton of things around, and it's all clean and tidy up there now. I'm still not sure which mod it was competing with, but it was no fault of yours! Thanks again.
