I know what you mean. I was legitimately shocked that more F76 improvements didn't make it into the next gen update for Fallout 4. Why didn't they add things like the ability to toggle collission and/or snapping in build mode? It's crazy, but you're doing good stuff to make up for it and it's appreciated.
You can edit them just fine, I edited them with my own mod without breaking any quests, though there are a few mods out there that also touch them in the wrong way that does break the quests.
Hi, the main goal of the mod was to cover misc items that Fallout 76 allows to scrap. What's currently missing from that list are the Eyebot, Mr. Gutsy, Protectron and Sentry Models, I will add them in an update.
I do have plans for the Subway token (1 steel, 1 cap, 0.1 weight) and the Vault-Tec lunchbox (Fallout 76 gives it a 0.1 weight, unsure about the components).
I don't plan on covering quest items for the moment. If I ever do, that will be in a separate optional file.

Would you consider making changes to the Subway Token and Technical Documents items?
They're the only ones that other mod changes that this doesn't
The mod I already have, I've been able to use the tokens just fine.
Talking about this one btw: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33145
