Note that almost every gun in the game rounds it's damage before showing it to you in the UI, meaning a weapon like the minigun with 8 damage will be 8.4 damage after 1 perk upgrade, meaning the UI will still only show 8. The rounding can be either up OR down depending on what angle the damage is being modified from, as weird as that sounds.
