Isn't wine\whiskey can be done with plants? I mean i understand water thing, but wine speifically doesn't really need purified water - you just need to grow grape. Beer is... kinda the same, it's the reason why people in the medieval drank beer instead of water as clear water wasn't a thing until...some point in the future
Some of that is true. For this small little mod I’ll give three points to that.
1. Wine is pretty right. Water is only added if the grape is way too bitter due to climate/season. Considering the recipe I’m using for price uses 2x of the mutated “Tarberry” that seems like fine suspension of disbelief lol.
2. Medieval Beer that in anyway resembles modern beer (Gwinnett stuff) would have certainly used purified or boiled water. The unclean water purified by yeast such as Kveik would have been around 2% and taste really sour from bacteria, kinda like a dirty saison. I don’t think any beers here fit the bill, and they are supposed to represent modern beers who are very subject to causing infection if not clean.
3. This mod doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s primarily designed in conjunction with the plethora of alcohol crafting mods out there that 90% of the time do use purified water. This very simple mod is created so you literally don’t lose value when using it in conjunction with one of the dozen others.
Your best bet is Manufacturing Extended to make a brewery. But then you need Manufacturing Extended Expanded because the first one is old and that fixes bugs. THEN you need Better Manufacturing and its patches (just select them on vortex install) because thats even newer and fixes more bugs. After that its very functional
