    Hello all.

I read the comments here about the Invisible Over-armor on top of this Vault Utility Suits.

I checked the Bug thread here and found this comment:

    • Hedigo Said:

    • 01 September 2024, 10:38PMit appears that it is working somewhat, but the armor isnt physically appearing over the utility jumpsuit?

I got this just now, and tried it with leather armor, but it turned invisible when i put the jumpsuit on.

    • Hedigo then Added:
01 September 2024, 10:47PM... ah, nevermind. Putting it into a bin and then taking it out again fixed it.

    • I, too, had an interesting disappearing effect. For me the Raider Arm Armor was not appearing, but one of the Leather leg armors did, as did the Legendary Metal Chest Piece.

Uncertain what Hedigo meant by "Putting it into a bin and then taking it out..." (What "it"? The suit or the armors?)
He, presumably meant the Utility Vault Suit, as I tried the armor with no change.
But I put in the Utility Suit into the Weapon Workbench, walked over to the Armor Workbench, grabbed the Utility Suit, I was wearing all of the armors, and put the Utility suit on.
Everything showed up where it should. No more invisible armor.

I had also already added Ballistic Weave to the Utility Suit (Ballistic Weave Unlocked mod) before I added this patch.

So, if anyone else has difficulty with invisible armor, give Hedigo's fix a try.

UPDATE - You need to place your Utility Suit into ANY container after you try on (and want to keep) EVERY piece of armor.
But only once per new armor. piece.

If you grab a new piece of armor and try it on, it won't appear. Take off the Utility Suit and place it in any container (ammo crate, filing cabinet, any container), then exit the container.
You will see your new armor piece on your body.
Now enter the container you just placed your Utlity Suit, grab it, exit the container, put on the Suit.
The armor will now show on you over the suit.

Do that for every new armor piece you want to keep.

NOW, if you improve any of those pieces of armor you were already wearing, after improving the pieces, you do not need to put your Utility Suit in the container and such as the Utility Suit remembers your armor. Even though it is modified.

But, again, any new pieces you want to keep, you have to go through the Container "fix".
Not a big deal. Just a tad "unimmersive". But I love that I CAN wear armor over the Utility Suit. So this patch has  permanent place in my mod list. 👍

This is some properly strange thing I didn't notice. I'm not currently playing Fallout4 so I don't really have the option to look into it, but I'm glad you at least found a workaround.

Since my changes basically just tell the game "hey this armor doesn't use these slots, so let someone wear gear in them", it's completely possible that it has edge cases, in particular if any other mods are involved.

Okay, for some reason the right arm and leg armors are invisible when I put them on, but only those slots, I don't think it's any thing wrong with the mod, but do you have any possible reason as to why you may think this may be happening?

Does it not work if I change it in the armor workbench? I try using it with drifter outfit but it wont wont equip atst. or does the drifter outfit use the underarmor slots?

I'm not sure but I think the Drifter Outfit will occupy the BODY slot as well.
