Your opinion is generally correct, but some corrections would be necessary to be accurate: 1. The outfit is somewhat related to the plot of the game. As you can see if you played the game, there are indeed citizens of DC who want the wall to be green. If you did not paint the wall green in "Painting the Town," this outfit would have further implications. 2. To me, Mr. Abbot is not a "local" politician. I am not a citizen of DC. Nor does he have any political experience (perhaps).
Nevertheless, he can run for mayor based on his democratic right. That is American democracy. And as you can see if you have played the game, Mayor McDonough is likely to have a, uh, "political life crisis" and be forced to step down. Election season will soon be upon us.
