I know it's probably a long shot, but I was wondering if there was any chance that you might be willing/able to continue working on this mod? I would love to see a standalone version of this with more artwork.

Too bad there aren't more available painting slots. These are great.
As a side note, I liked to think of the barn and lake paintings as reminders of the old world, but it's nice to think that their might be post apocalypse artists and photographers too.
Well once I learn how to use fO4edit (or the creation kit comes out, whichever comes first really) I might make these as a standalone mod, but I originally made this mod for my own, personal use and I didn't see the point in making a standalone mod when I never used the vanilla paintings anyway (well I used them to cover up holes in walls every so often... but you get my point), so why take up menu space when I didn't need to?
But yhea, I agree that the barns and such would be reminders of the old world, but they were just too bland and generic for my taste (and similar... it felt like there were 20 paitings but only 5 or 6 different subject matters), and humans are creative creatures and someone who lives in the relative safety of Bunker Hill or Diamond City might take up paiting as a hobby/source of extra income, and considering the institue has it's own unique set of paitings there's clearly some artists among them too.
Standalone, please. I love kittens, but this is a good mod, and there are a silly number of kittens. But I'd like to have this with 20 kitten paintings, because more variety is good.
Once I figure out how to make a standalone mod I'll consider it, but considering I've never touched FO4Edit before so it might be a while before that happens. Still it is a tool I intend to learn, but for now I can't make any promises.
Until then I suggest searching for "painting" as there are a number of good mods that add more paintings. This one specifically adds Fallout themed art http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5283/?
