I noticed in the FAQ that Bethesda.net will give errors with the older version. Does this mean I won't be able to download any mods subscribed to on the in-game mod browser?
This mod saved me but steam always tries to update the game with the option "update the game at launch" frequently Steam is possessed by the update daemon! before this mod -revert to the previous version the saves are moved where steam is installed / userdata / 0 / xxxxx / ac / ... it can help some 'but where have my save game ?" It was driving me crazy but where did they go?
-the language file was deleted, but I had a copy of my game (legal original) renamed Fallout4 - Voices instead Voices_xx..ba2 (xx your language) probably with an old version of this mod or a misunderstanding, but it is better to copy before your Fallout4 - Voices_xx.ba2 and rename it Fallout4 - Voices (without _xx) especially if you tried to go back to the previous version, before this mod, better safe than sorry
it's indeed Steam the demon and not Bethesda with this mod, Steam tries again oO with the option "update the game at launch" f4se user always launch steam before Fo4 otherwise it's after and your update your game again. but this mod protects your now ! Steam fail thanks :)
I downloaded the fix and it removed the update info on steam. So steam doesnt want to update Fallout4 anymore. But since I had to do this, Fallout 4 has massive lagging issues after I load a old save and played 10 minutes or so. Its sooo unbelievable annoying to de- and reinstall Fallout 4, 100+ Mods and start all over again and again and again because of those fkn useless Updates!!!!!!
Before this next "f your Time, Mods and progress"...uhm, I mean "Gen"- update, Fallout 4 worked great. Now its just lagging constantly all 2-3 seconds and I got the feeling 100+ hours and all the progress ingame was a waste of time because to solve this issue I have to reinstall everything completely and start all over again. To install the mods and make them work I need days maybe some weeks. Depends on my freetime.
This broke the connection between my truby9 display mod and the carefully curated tweaks between NVIDA and display when Steam detected my game and decided to default my display settings again. Took me all monring to fix.
Not a shade on this file and am grateful for the efforts of the author but just letting folks know if you have non standard resolutions be prepared to spend some time fixing them since NVIDA is not that user friendly as one would think.
First of all thank you for your work on this useful patcher.
Sadly there was seemingly some update on steam and Steam wants to update FO4.
So I downloaded your patcher, ran it, but steam still says there's a 55GB update pending. :-(

EDIT : PSA : if you still have the original unaltered acf file, you can restore that one, THEN launch this patcher. I can confirm that patcher works fine this way, steam says the game is up to date.

PSA: If you're running the ACF Patch Tool and your game still shows as needing an update, please use v1.0.0.10 or newer
Edit: Turns out, that works just fine.
