Hey, so I'm using this ENB along with NAC X... Issue I'm running into is DOF is not turning at all from the ENB in-game menu. I've changed settings around, turned on/off NAC X ENB patch, turned off/on NAC X's own DOF... Yet nothing is getting the ENB DOF to work like it used to for me a while back (had to re-do my whole mods in MO2). Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
Never mind! Got it to work. Kept messing around with ENB DOF settings - Changed 'Technique' under ENBDEPTHOFFIELD.FX to "Example Dof", changed more settings under this section - Then made sure that 'EnableDepthofField" in enbseries.ini was persisting as Checked when Saving Config and then Applying Config
Hey, man, I've been using your enb for a couple of days now and I just want to say that it is, hands down, the best enb I've ever used. Still very much like the vanilla but with some modern touches to spice up the image, and on a clear day with NAC X is just breathtaking. Thank you!
Some ENBs are great for some weathers, others are good for screenshots. But there's not that many which are good for actually just playing the game. Glad you like it!
And please share those breathtaking screenshots :D
tried all of the enb settings but this is the one right here no fuzzy muddy or over saturated trash with some minor tweaks my game is looking smooth af and im using about 13gb of vram running this and all of the 4k texture mods i could find
wondering if anyone knows something about somethin... this question doesn't pertain to this mod, anytime i try to install an ENB preset i get bad stuttering on 7800x3d 4080. I've tried knockin of TAA in bethini, tweaking shadows etc installed 5-7 different enb's and always the same stutters. with just enb binaries installed its fine smooth.
As everyone's enblocal.ini is particular to their PC, I think it's usually a good idea to instruct people to edit with a text editor and set it up according to this: [GLOBAL] UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true UseDefferedRendering=false
[MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=128 ;This value should be set to lowest possible value without experiencing stutter. Increase this value until stuttering is either gone or minimal. See advanced guide above for more information. VideoMemorySizeMb=<integer in MB> ;Download and run Boris's VRamSizeTest tool [https://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm]. Run the '''VRamSizeDX9.exe''' for DX9 games and '''VRamSizeDX11.exe''' for others. ;Windows 7 - Subtract 170 from the value provided and use that value. ;Windows 8.1 - Use the value provided. ;Windows 10 - Subtract 350 from the value provided and use that value. AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false
As for the labels, absolutely not. In the before images you see the terrible vanilla post processing:
Clipped highlights Crushed darks Shadows are pitch black (especially on brown-skinned characters) Details are lost through the awful bloom The sky colours are downright bizarre Clouds lose so much detail No horizon and fog blending Outright bizarre lighting etc
Appreciate the quick reply. I did test it out in game and it's not bad. In certain scenarios (at night and during bad weather) it is definitely an improvement but, and this is just one person's opinion, during the day it goes a little too hard on trying to alleviate the crushed blacks and overblown whites. I think the best evidence of this is on your comparison of the up-close Brahmin shot. In the after photo, the brahmin, the road, the sky, etc all have almost the exact same tone. Everything just sort of blends together and it takes some of the third dimensionality out of the image. Maybe there's a middle ground between vanilla and where you currently have it?
Either way, if you like it, awesome. Don't change it based on my perception. I can always make adjustments on my side to suit it to my preference. At the end of the day, this is the closest I have found to what I want, without building my own from scratch. All the other presets try to include everything and the kitchen sink and end up completely changing the vibe of the game.
Yeah of course, different monitors and all that stuff play a factor. I think another thing I did during the playthrough is remove the volumetric rays from exteriors. The best example of the improvement imo is the view of the radar dish, the water treatment plant, and the General Atomics Mr Handy building. The clouds are much more defined, the colour banding is reduced, and the contrast isn't giving you a headache.
The brahmin, yeah I can see your point about the fog, but that's a vanilla thing with how the weather's fog is set up. But if you look at the staircase, it's not clipping white. And the shadows aren't that dark as it's daytime.
I agree about the whole heavy presets thing. They're either too heavy, or need too much customization. Which is why I aimed for a more basic but still overall nice approach. And if I came across as mean, I didn't mean to. Just terse as I couldn't be bothered writing a proper paragraph at the time. We good.

I just witnessed the most beautiful sunset in game but my dumb ass forgot to take photos. Next time. This ENB needs to spread like wildfire, hehe.

hoping the ENB gods have a clue
So we will never know until f4se gets released
Downgrading won't work either
Bwahahahahahahahahahaha... No
But it works now so were good. Still bogs my game down 20fps which is a shame.
