   Same issue as rk121, I don't play VR, but was still getting flashing / flickering black textures. This fixed it.
   It only seemed to happen after generating LOD (using TMR guide: https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com/lod.html#FOLIPBeforeGeneration) I use a landscape overhaul mod, so LOD generation is a must.
   
   
   Maybe worth renaming this to something like "Black texture flashing flix for Nice Bush" I would've tried this mod and fixed the issue days ago, but didn't think this would help when I saw VR in the name and avoided it until I had tried everything else...

   I don't play the VR version, but I had a bug where the bushes were flashing a black shadow constantly and this fix solved the problem. THX

   thanks for that. I tried to fix them myself some time ago. I knew it had something to do with the materials but never could figure out what exactly. Could you describe what you changed?

      I followed instructions given by ueer Rustinwd in Nice Bush comments:
      
      

      I was able to fix this by grabbing the original material files
      
      Materials\Landscape\Plants\Forsythia.BGSM
      Materials\Landscape\PlantsHedgeRow.BGSM
      
      from the steamapps\common\Fallout 4 VR\Data\Fallout4 - Materials.ba2
      
      Then using Material Editor? to just set:
      
      General -> Alpha setting to 0
      
      This makes to old plant invisible which worked, then I also went back and unchecked:
      
      General -> Alpha Test, Z Buffer Write, Z Buffer Test, Two Sided
      Material -> Subsurface Lighting, Specular Enabled, Cast Shadows
      
      Just for good measure to ensure none of  those calculation are done.
