Well I did it, I attached zestoflemons animation onto it and resized the mesh.
Unfortunately some of the moving parts didn't fit the animation properly so to prevent extra jankiness I stuck it in a static phase. For example while opening the loading gate, it opens too far and detaches from the gun. Also when loading the bullets they detach from the gun completely in the animation. I think ZestofLemons animation file (e.g. hkx) would have to be modified literally to fit the mesh.
But I think it's an alternative that may more accurately represent the real reload, though it's missing moving parts.
i was going to say that the nagant has a unique loading but someone already posted, firing of it's kind is also unique and the only one out of all revolvers where the cylinder goes into the barrel to stop gas leakage, and firing one is almost like firing a 22cal hardly any recoil. the bullet them selves are seated in the casings.

the reload animation is wrong, the cylinder doesn't flip out. the gun has the same reload as a colt single action army. here is a video for reference maybe do research before making a mod https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh1mojMaEtM .

A small detail: during the reload in first person we clearly see that the new cartridge have no speedloader so the character is holding all the bullet in his hand with no tool and they are magically all going in their hole. A small speed loader holding the new cartridge would make this mod perfect.
It's based on one of the few revolvers' (maybe the only one) that can operate suppressed. The cylinder gap that usually makes suppressors counter productive is eliminated with mix of ammo choice and pushing the cylinder slightly forward when cocked (I think).

I'll be working on a patch to use these animations instead, unless you have plans for other custom anims.
One last thing, the Nagant is a bit smaller irl than what you've depicted -- but it should be a simple mesh readjustment and resize!

Someone will have to remake the reload for this gun from the ground up since it's a very complex animation.
