UPDATE April 20 : New blasted / weathered version !
Small message for the people new to modding :
So you watched the show and want to play and mod your game? Great! welcome! The 2 things you need to do to mod peacefully are : - Using a mod manager, Check Gopher's videos on youtube. (Vortex is very beginner friendly, Mod Organizer 2 is more versatile but has a small learning curve) - Turn off the automatic steam updates for the game, select 'only update on launch'. Updates tend to break mods and if you start your game with a mod manager, Steam won't see it as a "launch", so no update! Extra advice : The "description" tab, no matter how long it is, read it! always! and check the Requirements! Always! And To all the greats Lore defenders, keeper of the one and only real truth, I'd say this : Funny how we don't see you posting on the modern weapons/MLP/"lewd-lore"/warhammer mods ! But it's ok! Also, on the second image, top left billboard is seen on the TV show (credits episode 3). The Show being cannon, it is proof that Cooper was for a while the official face of Vault-Tec. They might have probably tried to remove him at some point but there may still be leftovers right? There you go! (Now, give me a second while I grab some pop-corn to read your replies)
great mod! and great advice btw, you just read my mind, I played the series long ago on PS3/4 and with the amazon show I wanted to come back and mod the game for the first time!
Absolutely love these and would like to know if it'd be alright if I port these over to Xbox? I'll give you full credit of course.
Shame what happened to Cooper, it's obvious he got quickly labeled as a commie because of that one meeting he went to and that caused both Hollywood to blacklist him and Vault-Tec to replace him with that cartoon character >_<
And also, Fallout 2 was contradicting Fallout 1 lore, Fallout 3 was contradicting Fallout 2 and Fallout 1 lore, and Fallout 4 and 76 was also contradicting lore from the previous Fallouts. 🤷 Just ignore these haters who want to make everything political.
it is lore it called building on to it but the thing is it needs to change to fit art and npc of fallout 4 using real photo i would silver shroud photo as want it should be and use ai or an artiest to make a fallout 4 verse of actor
I've been playing quite a bit since installing this mod and have noticed the billboards everywhere. They really look like they belong. Such great work.
Since the mod is just textures, you can probably install it and just remove the one that is the "Muldaver Wanted Poster". Another user commented that maybe Vault-Tec wouldn't be able to replace every poster and not immediately. When I walk around town I also often see old posters of events and stuff that are long over or were cancelled, but nobody seems to remove them/update them. Didn't watch the show though and I am not deep into the lore.
It's cool seeing Coopers face in my game now. Tho I'd prefer a version that doesn't have the Moldaver posters. Not because of lore, I just don't care much for the character.
I think the in-lore reason we don't see him on Vault-Tec stuff is because of
Spoiler:
Show
what happened off-screen after he spies on the company...
Spoiler:
Show
In the opening of the show, we see Cooper doesn't want to do the thumbs up "considering the state of everything", and the dads continuously gossip about him... They mention his being available for birthday parties being his need to pay alimony. This means sometime between his spying on Vault-Tec we see in later episodes and that opening scene, his wife (who works for Vault-Tec) has divorced him.
Then when he's walking away a dad calls him a 'Pinko', and the other agrees. 'Pinko' is a pejorative from the red scare, referring to communist sympathizers.
This means not only did he get divorced, but his connections to the communist actor group have been publicized, and he has been disgraced.
This likely means that, while they for some reason didn't show us this outright, we can infer he got caught somehow, thus Vault-tec would've scrubbed his image from their company.
Only problem with your theory is the day WW3 hits he's still very popular as are his films (and even 200yrs later watched in vault 33). - That, and the fact Interplay first introduced the Vault Boy in 1997 whereas the Amazon series introduced Cooper Howard in 2024.
he is literally disgraced to the point of doing birthday parties. also we have celebrities that survive being pedophiles Im sure cooper can still have fans i mean hes lowered to birthday parties, but they still hired him.
i dont know what you mean with the last part. this is about the lore not real life reasons
While he is doing that birthday the birthday boys dad mentions alimony. I think they got a divorce and of course when this goes down Vault-Tec drops him and thus his movie career. They dropped him and used vault boy as a replacement. Not to mention you don't have to pay a cartoon character anything... because they technically don't exist.

1) Muldaver has no reason to have wanted posters on east coast. She's some how involved with the NCR and as we all know all that is on the west coast.
2) As a commenter pointed out earlier, I am pretty sure they replaced Cooper with Vault-Boy to save money and to get rid of Cooper.
The mod looks great and I will definitely look at your other mods if you have them. I just can't use this because I am a lore nut.
