    Your mod doesn't provide an explanation of what the SPECIAL stat bug is.

    Is it that you permanently gain an extra SPECIAL buff/debuff (depending on Well Rest/Lovers Embrace or Overencumbered) after having the magic effect for an extended period of time?

      Frankly, I don't fully understand what causes the bug. As for what the bug does, it causes you to gain permanent increases to your Special Stats in Survival Mode but I could not tell you why beyond the Well Rested/Lover's Embrace perks OR the Over-Encumbered Debuff being the cause. This was the first mod I ever posted and I only posted it after testing it over the course of a couple playthroughs and feeling like others deserved to not have this bug happen to them.

    cant you just delete the effect instead of having +0? not sure if it matters, tho

      Doesn't work out unfortunately. The perk just disappears if I do that. AbFortify/Reduce is the only way I know of for the mod to work.

      the perk disappears if you delete the effects in the perk? maybe because it's a scripted perk

      I don't know. I don't have that much experience with modding. This has just been working for me so far in my survival playthrough and I figured I would share it.

    Works as intended so far, tyvm.

    [Maybe, IF you have the time, would you be willing to extend your mod to optionally include food with +attributes (as in remove those +stats), as - iirc - this has also been a cause for the SPECIAL stat bug, especially in survival?]

      I mean, I am capable of it. when I have time I will check out posting it as an optional file (because I have not had problems with food and the bug plus a mod like that is likely to conflict with any other food mods)

      I can't bring myself to make it because of alcohol in-game. Can you confirm that food also causes this bug for you before I make a .esp that changes all the food? (also because I am pretty sure that food does not cause the SPECIAL bug)

      TBH, I dont remember exactly BUT I was avoiding ANY food and drinks with +special stats ever since I first read about the bug and experiencing it myself several times. I've been doing that for years now and haven't had the bug since then. IF anything, I was surprised about YOUR mod, because I did not realize that the bug could occur under the circumstances your mod aims to fix.

      So, maybe I am remembering wrongly (it's been a few years since I played extensively) or/and had the bug occur due to well-rested/lover's embrace/over-encumbered and thought it was due to sleeping f.e. with an on-going special effect from a food. Thinking about it, THAT might have been why I was thinking that food with +stats was the culprit.

      Anyway, dont mind my request, I just might have gotten things mixed up in my mind as to why I had the bug occur in the first place.

      TYVM for your mod, so far, NO BUGs :-)

      Just let me know if you end up thinking that food is actually a problem and I will investigate posting an optional file that edits all the food
