Temp50 has a 50% chance to swap any given plant every time it loads. It could be a hub flower today, but it might be a mutfruit when you return a month later.
Perm50 has a 50% chance to swap any plant permanently, and it will stay swapped for the entire playthrough on that save.
Description Updated. Swapper mods are all working great, the author is a genius. I'm curious what I can do with the new features. Bird swaps, bee hives and wasp nests have been on my to do list. Radhornets and Greenjackets are almost done.
This probably won't see an update for a while as I have bigger projects and this accomplished its goal.
Life Finds a Way Patch is under construction. It is more complicated than I expected and will take time. It requires more complex restrictions and fixes for regional variants and preserving environmental consistency. If anyone has resources on Base Object Swapper I would appreciate a link. If there are any quests or quest locations tied to specific flora, please reply with the location and flora data.
This is on temporary hold until Base Object Swapper gets updated. The update might bring new functions as I've seen with some other mods recently, an unexpected positive side effect. I might make it anyway if it takes forever since it will likely work with either version.
I considered that. I'll make a DLC version that spawns them everywhere, and I'll make a DLC version that spawns them only in their respective World spaces.
Not sure if you seen this one, its one of my favorite mods. I use it alongside Mutant Menagerie, giving the game an Elder Scrolls level of herbal excess

I'm making patches for both of those currently. Currently hounding for permissions on as many flora mods as I can for a big expansion that utilizes Object Swapper. I've also found a few interesting ways to swap other things. Variants for vanilla and many mod added flora is planned on the future
I may. There's a quest tied to these, hence there exclusion. If there is a location ref I can except the swaps from, then it will be easy. I'll check later.
Thank you that was really awesome of you to do that. Appreciate you. Ironically enough I asked because of another mod that requires twenty of them and running from the north east of the map near General Atomics to the south west to Forest Grove can be tedious at times. Thanks again
I had no idea Base Object Swapper could be used for plants. I guess it makes sense though since there's a mod to swap TVs with ones from a TV settlement furniture mod. I wonder if the same could be done for trees or even, god forbid, entire buildings?
Anyway, nice work, this'll probably be a permanent part of all my load orders from now on.
Plants can be swapped safely because they're all placed in temporary cells. The reason for the warning about statics and static collection is because you want to avoid breaking precombines
Ah, that makes sense. Bit of a shame that precombines are something that needs to be worked around so much. A good fifth of my current ~700 mod load order is precombine and PRP patches lmao. Still though, even with the temp-cell restriction, my brain is cooking some cursed ideas on what to use BSO with.
this kind of reminds me of an old skyrim mod back in the day, i mean we saw mods like this but we also saw mods that added more pickups of these plants in the perspective locations so instead of only looting one at a time you could loot up to 4 or 5 in one loot location, it was a very nice addition to have that made looking for these things less of a pain in the ass because you could easily pick up up to 40 of them in any given area of the map and not have to collect them forever and ever in order to make what you wanted.
