I would've liked to use this mod since I use the mod "Lone Wanderer" where I chose to make the motorcycle use 4 oil resources per usage. This mod could bring a nice balance between making the motorcycle use a lot of resources but still find being able to find the needed amount easily enough.
Unfortunately this mod seems to conflict with Valdacil's Item Sorting, guess since you edit the same items Valdacil's mod do. Loading this mod after VIS removes the tags for said items. Loading this before VIS just makes it like I've never installed this mod in the first place. It's a shame. :/
think of this as OP but i think they should give ALOT more for the size and weight you are carrying. look at the lighter. the case can or ect easly 10 times the size = 10 oil or something.. (or hell use grain and or corn to make oil.. ;3 bio powered for the win.
Did you download the right file? The main file (the one that NMM automatically installs) should be the weightless version. Try deleting the more oil files from your data folder and reinstall by clicking the NMM download next to the first file on the files tab.
I actually kind of felt there was to much oil considering that the entire premise of Fallout is that massive shortages in all major resources (including oil) led to nuclear war.
That is exactly the point. Oil isn't so hard to find. In fact one of my games I didn't build sanctuary and they seem to always pile up a good scrap tank full of it by the time I come to collect it from the workbench. But it is supposed to be super rare. That said...they want to make explosives ^.^ I get the point of the mod.
oil was still present and was used in all kinds of things. also, people could have bought that thing some time before, or its not oil from oil, but maybe from that sea stuff that i´ve seen in the news recently.
hey, i am pretty sure that is actually the price of coolant and not oil, the "gas stations" sell coolant instead of oil usually, since the cars do not use gasoline, but instead nuclear reactors
The wide spread use of nuclear reactors in cars was mostly in response to the outrageously high oil and gas prices. The coolant would be relatively cheep compared to gasoline.
The funny thing is, oil isn't just used in gasoline. As far as I know all plastics are petroleum product and oil is used on almost all manufacturing in on way or another. If oil was as rare as the lore says it was, then the entire world economy would have ground to a halt and collapsed long before they could find a suitable alternative for it.
I compared both versions of mod, and noticed that the weight was not changed compared to the original values, you may not save changes? I changed the weight for themselves. In any case, thank you for fixed the the error Bethesda
If there's a way to have the various containers give varying amounts of oil instead of a set amount (and the appropriate proportional weight), that would be even better (and more realistic).
That would be pretty cool. This is my first mod so I'm not entirely sure the limitations and capabilities but I think the only way to do that would be to manually add new instances to the world, and I think that needs the GECK. Maybe it'll work to add a few variations to the loot pool thing?
as epicnessity said i dont think game has way of giving random resources from same item, so only way to do this would be to make multiple canisters and then either name them the same in game or something like half full/almost empty/completely filled etc etc.

Edit: It should be up there!
