I've just started using FGEP (Definitive) on Xbox and bloody hell, nearly jumped out of my skin when I reached Lexington!
Ridiculously loud sound effects for the new Ghouls and you can hear them from miles away. I'm actually tempted to start over, without the mod, because this isn't available there.
It always baffles me when mods have issues like this, because it's not exactly subtle and easily missed. The volume is FAR too loud when compared to the rest of the game. Same with some weapons mods and their effects. 🫣
so to use the optional file (which seems like a more customized implementation of the mod?) we just pick any main file version and enable it alongside the optionals?
All right, thanks for the reply. If you don't mind a suggestion, I think it would be a good idea to clarify this in the download page. Usually main files are supposed to be mandatory, and optional files are like "add-ons" you can put on top of the main ones.
You should amend your mod title to indicate if you're reducing the frequency of the sounds (how often they're heard) or if you're reducing the volume at which they're heard (how loud they are). The title as it stands is ambiguous.
"FGEP - Feral Ghouls Expansion Pack - Reduced Volume Idle Sounds" or "FGEP - Feral Ghouls Expansion Pack - Quieter Idle Sounds" would be clearer.
