i placed like 400 of these things inside each other because i thought audio overlap was funny and i didnt crash.. why are people having issues with this specific audio?

I'm not sure which sound specifically, but if you run things like SS2 which has it's own sound descriptors and all the heavy script data, it can overload the engine probably why it crashes.  I used to just delete them from the mod in F04Edit and fixed the issue.  But now thanks to this mod I can just add it to the LO or make one myself, but this is one click less of work.

I'm having audio related crashes, will this work without actually having NW installed? I downloaded it a while back but never installed it.

Gah I wish you created this a few months ago before I uninstalled my winter build for Fallout 4.

The fix did not work, the game continues to crash, maybe I installed the fix incorrectly, I use a Vortex to install mods

make sure the fix is loaded after Nuclear winter, so it overwrites the sound file in the mod

Thank you for creating and sharing this mod! I recently started getting crashes due to audio for the heaters and this solved those crashes.

I started having xaudio crashes recently, but sadly I am not using Nuclear Winter and have no idea what is causing it. How were you able to trace your crashes back to the buildable heater sounds?

I used the binary method, aka disabling at first half of my mods, waiting for it to crash, then disabling  a half of those that were enabled when it crashed and like this slowly narrowing down to the mod that is crashing the game, before going into your load order I recommend re downloading DirectX June 2010 and seeing if it fixes your issue.
