inside, can you modify so that the objects in the workshop are visible without having to go out and then come back to see them? is possible in the game?
Not sure what you mean? Are you building inside, or outside? You are building objects, and they aren't appearing until you enter the cell again? I have no pre-vis flagged for the cell data. I could unflag that, and see if it changes things.
Yes, there are plenty of places in the game where building indoors requires you to go out and then come back, otherwise the constructions are invisible. It doesn't do that everywhere.there are even places where when you remove the windows, the sky is not there. It's all white. with your mod, I was hoping to see the constructions because I use snappy house kit.
No. Most of those objects aren't on the scrap list. If I add those objects to the scrap list it will break precombines causing long loading times, and invisible textures further down the line. You can use a 'scrap everything' mod, but this will basically cause the same issues. If you want to keep your save after using scrap everything, and decide the load times are getting to long.. you can remove the scrap everything mod, and delete it's ini file, to restore your precombines since they aren't baked into your save.
I couldn't scrap as much inside as your screenshot indicates, but that may have been caused by Depravity, which also uses the location. Like the previous commenter, I also gave up on SS2 - loved the first 2 chapters, despite glitches, but chapter 3 is too buggy. So, I don't have that conflict with the location.
Thank you. Yea I didn't scrap anything in my screenshots. Most of those objects aren't on the scrap list. I'd suggest a 'scrap everything' mod, but scrapping vanilla objects will cause your precombines to break. So I can't really recommend this. Broken precombines/previsibines can cause longer loading times, and invisible textures the longer you play on a broken save. SS2 is a really awesome idea, and I like the creativity from it. I just like building my own stuff.
i wish Kingath's sim settlements mod would just allow a normal settlement setup like this, as much as i liked some of what sim settlements added to the game, it was just too buggy and unresponsive most of the time, and the mod caused all kinds of CTD issues and save bloat and script lag, anyway i look forward to trying this mod out, i have always loved the idea of this location, it just sucks i can't have the story of sim settlements because i had to put that mod down.
Sorry to hear that mane. Sim Settlements, and CAMP is usually what I would use before I got into making my own settlements in CK. I'm very amateur, so let me know if there's any bugs, or anything I can fix. Tried to make it a little better by adding a map marker to spawn directly inside of the lobby. Additionally I was pressed for time so I didn't add my custom power pylon connectors throughout the building. Just the main lobby.
oh, that's fine no worries, i'm just glad to see a interior workshop of this location that isn't the sim settlements mod, i don't suppose you could also create one on the outside of the building as well?
so it's kind of a 2 tier settlement system in one location?
Yea I could do that, but i'm not quite sure if the resource container would be linked. The methods I've tried for this in the past have never been able to link the same resource chest.
you know, i have never worried about this, i know some people care about this, but my character ends up having so many resources on hand most of the time that i end up never running out of resources, well that and i also use a mod that makes the workshop stuff not cost anything to build, lol so it's whatever.
but then again i also don't frequently play on survival for many reasons that make it too annoying and restrictive.
Alright I added V2 with the exterior workshop, and I also added powered pylon connectors to every room of the interior cell. I placed some on the front of the exterior building as well, but you'll have space for generators and pylons so I didn't go crazy with that one. I also changed the interior and exterior cell "location" to the custom settlement location. It may, or may not add the new settlements to the workshop list when you turn away a follower.
WitherAwayyy so i did, find one little issue in the exterior, not sure what causes this, but in that location when not in the build menu, the game prevents the player from using the sprint button, so you can't sprint outside the location, until you leave the build area.
Yea np. I could set them all to not respawn, but I think letting them respawn may be more interesting. Let me know if they steal from your containers. I can give them a unique sandbox to not loot if it becomes a problem.
