Thanks a lot man, the vanilla animations are atrocious, especially when you come from a fun melee experience like FNV/FO3. I have no idea why the devs think making animations clunkier is "immersive" or whatever. Endorsed.
Hey mistermoai, i got an issue i would like you to look into if you have the time.
i've noticed that rooted doesen't seem to work most of the time in VATS, at least in Blitz (unsure though, need more testing)
for context i was using a Medium speed melee with Blitz, to be specific a cleaver from MCAM, i think due to the speed at which you attack in VATS the game either doesen't register you being still or you TP constantly so the effect doesen't proc
a fix that could work would be reducing the 3rd person ATK SPD value to the same of 1st person, since VATS seems to base off of that (3rd person attack speed is approximately 50-75% instead of 25%)

that's interesting. I didn't use VATS much during my time playing 4, so it never occurred to me that that could be an issue. I'll take a look and test equalizing the speed values. thanks for the feedback.
I've uploaded a new 25-10 version that increases attack speed by 25% in 1st person and 10% in 3rd person. this combination of speeds helps to balance out the speed differences between the two perspectives (although it's not 100% exact, it's very close) and could potentially fix the issue you had with Blitz. let me know if this version helps.

there are many bugs, inconsistencies, and exploits so easy they are often done by accident. - all because of 3rd person animation and cam switch. there will still be the issue of having no attack commitment, i dont know how to fix that.
I compared a few of the power fist files and the numbers looked fine. I tested the 25% version in-game again and it seems like the speed changes are just exacerbating the vanilla issue of there being differences between the 1st and 3rd person animation speeds. the current version of the mod is just a simple speed increase to all of the melee and unarmed animations.
perhaps too complicated of a suggestion, but i think this would work great as an agility perk system. If you could have something like a +10%, +20%, +30% system based on a perk.
Hey I really like using this mod, it finally makes melee builds viable! Any chance you can make a version that works for Fallout London? Only some of the weapons from Fallout London are faster when using this mod.
glad you're enjoying the mod. I'll have to check it out when I get around to playing London, it sounds like they're using custom animations instead of the vanilla ones.
