Awesome mod, love it! I have a few suggestions, as one other member posted, the foundations are a too short for building on uneven terrain, if you could extend them down to somewhere around five times the depth, this would work on just about any terrain issues with a few settlements being an exception.
Also, it would be nice to have more pieces, like more with dormers, and inside walls would be epic! It would also be nice to have a non interactive or player-only bed. Non interactive would be so I could use one of the invisible pillows from HZ's Easy Home Builder and Working Double beds. Bugthesda has settlers playing musical beds at times, and I hate getting baby bear syndrome (somebody has been sleeping in my bed).
Absolutely amazing! High quality stuff! Love using these! Some suggestions below.
-Have a taller foundation(the stone area below the wood) for cabin pieces so they can work with more settlement areas that are bumpy and chaotic terrain wise.
A great example of what I mean is Coastal College or Finch Farm, which has chaotic terrain or high grass. With the current short cabin foundations it's harder to set these more perfectly without either grass in the cabin, or doorways/walls filled with dirt.. A taller foundation would give us the distance and versatility we need to work almost anywhere and increase build variability to look better.
Right now I use shack foundations below them for chaotic terrain, but it looks tacky since the bottom stone is jutting/hanging out of the ground. It creates a scrapped look. Like cinder blocks under a trailer but bigger.
-To help with a taller and more terrain compatible foundation, make the stairs able to snap with each other so we can have longer staircases to meet those taller up cabins should we need it.
How do I uninstall it without affecting the workshop menu? I am trying to switch from the esp to the esl version. I disabled the esp, made a new save without it, enabled the esl then loaded my save; but I lost the wooden structures category from the workshop menu. EDIT Nevermind. I fixed it with SMM.
Hi, is it possible to build large multi-story cabins with this mod or is it just restricted to the single-story cabins seen in the screenshots? Thx in advance.
I do have one issue with npc navigation between sections after the Cabin Wall Connectors are placed. It seems the collision on the connectors is acting like a barricade. It may be what was causing the problem for an earlier poster since NPCs sometimes don't come past the door if they are in place. A simple solution to this would be to remove the collision from this piece since it is cosmetic and doesn't need collision.
Hello, amazing mod i have to say. But i have some questions
- There are any plans to add more variants to the pieces currently implemented ? More shades of wood, maybe something to fit the vanilla wood colour scheme, some weathered/dusty/ darker versions of the items ? - The potential with this mod is so big, i just wish to see more "makeshift/handmade" furniture and cabin pieces added into the mix. It would add to the feel of the cabins being build after the war or people just moving into them and building furniture from scratch. - Any plans to make the stone parts of the wall separate pieces, along with the fireplace ? would really like to use them on their own or just build on top of them. They have a lot of character and modularity can get them a lot of use.
Whatever are your plans with the mod, i love it so far, keep doing what you do best !
Gorgeous mod! Love the new models. I do have one teeny, tiny request--okay, knowing Blender as I do, I admit it's not all that tiny--but: can we get shallower upper cabinets?
Upper cabinets should only stick out from the wall about half as much as the lower cabinets! I keep running into otherwise wonderful kitchen stuff where I just plain can't use the upper cabinets. I mean seriously, everyone, go into your own kitchens and tell me if a single one of you has upper cabinets that stick out as far as your lowers!
But with that little rant off my chest, the rest of the furniture is wonderfully useful, and I will indeed be using it. :)
This is also my question, in changelogs it states it can be used with both versions but do you need the updated F4SE or can you use the previous version of F4SE instead for those that didn't update their game, which I didn't because I had a stable load and game with my mods, many ESL and don't want to wait for all mod authors to update or to have things go wrong because of the update. So will this ESL version update only work with the updated F4SE or with the previous before Next GEn....which I want no part of.
Honestly, other than getting bombarded with quests as soon as I leave the vault (there is a mod that stops this supposedly), the next gen update is great. I like alot of the added CC items for building. Looks Menu and F4SE are both updated to the latest patch as well, and as for my body mods, everything works so far, except if you use the Hi-Poly or 4K faces. Or maybe it was just my mod setup, Idk. I uninstalled Hi-Poly and 4K faces, and my tattoos and skins work again.
