I should have put this from the beginning. Sorry, here is how a correct Load Order look like for my patches:

    Z_Horizon.esp
    Z_Horizon_DLC.esp

    ...

    HorizonPatch_signalz.esp
    ...
    <single esp>
    M2045MagnumRevolverRifle.esp
    ...
    <esp and their children esps>
    SIGMCX.esp
    SIGMCX_MaterialPack.esp
    SIGMCXArmoryProject.esp
    SIGMCX_ArmoryProject2.esp
    SIGMCX_ArmoryProject3.esp
    ....

    Update:
    1. New way of organizing and reducing mods bloat.
Mods that basically do the same, share the same stats, with the same performance will be filtered out under a representative one and cost zero material to switch among the group, if you already have one of them. Currently only support SR-25 and MCPR-300.
    2. Reworked Stoner Rifle SR-25 patch.
    3. Fixed Subleader's SIG MCX Firing Mode could not be switched. (Forgot to add attach point for Firing Mode Switching)
    4.
Revisited and reworked patch for FJX-Imperium Antimaterial Rifle (by Winter)
    5. NEW: Revisited and reworked patch for BAS-B (by Winter)
Update BAS-B [Patch 3.2]: This is such a great gun mod I don't know why I didn't give it enough care like I did for Subleader's Scar-H and SIG MCX. I strongly recommend downloading Winter's BAS-B, and if you like, downloading (or redownloading) my patch for this gun (found in Optional Files Tab). The underbarrel grenade launcher is very responsive and satisfied to use with no bugs (at least so far in my experience).

+ Reworked balance across all BAS-B's Modifications. Rewritten description.
+ Mod Crafting Recipes also updated.
+ Integrated Mods Filtering Feature like that of FJX-Imperium, SR-25, MCPR-300.
    + M203 Grenade Launcher now use Horizon's 40mm Ammunition.

I've recently installed the Basilisk and your patch and whilst everything works exactly as intended - I do find that the Basilisk is a fair bit louder than other Horizon (or patched) weapons.

I'm not sure if any of the other "Modern Weapons" are on a similar volume since I'm not using any of them, however I am using a few of the "Lore Friendly" ones and they sound fine.

I've seen on another post that you adjusted the volume of other weapons on the patches so I'd assume this is doable but I also do not know if this is more of a "me" problem so - in case you don't feel like the gun is too loud, what would I need to change to make it less loud on my end?

Unrelated but, as a side note - I do wish Horizon had more manual weapons that could perform as at least on a similar level as their semi-automatic counterparts (I do understand the automatic weapons being straight up better), which is the main reason for me using the Basilisk, since all other revolvers get outclassed by Horizon's Custom Magnum (even the modded 44. lore friendly revolver), I kinda wish there were some good modded lever action weapons (since Horizon's are also completely outperformed by counterparts) but I haven't really found any patched ones.

Basilisk eardrum killer volume level is made by original author. It is, by default, loud in the raw audio data. let me see if I can devise a patch to make the sound more acceptable, without touching the audio files (as it will require original author's permission) but it gonna require a bit of hassle. And no it's not about changing some number in fo4 so I cannot provide a quick fo4edit hack.

Last I check, these guns' default sound (in my patches) is very loud and can be harmful for some people ear:
      Basilisk
      Holger-26
      MCPR-300
      FJX-Imperium
      Katt AMR
      BAS-B (Semi mode)

About a good revolver, I recommend the Hunting Revolver by TheRizzler, patched for Horizon by sushicid3. The patch is a bit outdated and some bugs/oversights are certain. I have created my own patch for this gun for my personal use, but let me take a look and release my polished patch for this gun soon.

I understand, I'm thankful for the information.

Rather unfortunate that it can't be easily changed - the patch is still good though so the gun is useable, no need to worry too much if it is too much trouble to adjust.

I did find a sound patch on the comments of the original mod - /mods/69558 - but from the description it seems like it might be louder, haven't really tested if it works or even if it doesn't break other things yet - if it does work and isn't as loud it could be be a workaround.

EDIT - it does sound better, but is even louder for some bizarre reason.

Regarding the Hunting Revolver, I do have it, with Sushi's patch and am using it currently, but it is fairly severely outclassed by the Custom Magnum, since it deals less damage (for some reason), has a significantly lower fire rate whilst having way more recoil, less ammo capacity and reload speed (I think it was balanced around Horizon's default revolver, which suffers from the same issues) - I still use it over the Magnum, due to preference and it being a beautiful gun, but it is often difficult to justify it.

I have made a sound patch esp for Basilisk. 35% less loud. You can find it in Download - Misc section. It require "MW Basilisk.esp" as master so please load after Basilisk. You can use your new sound mod, that you mentioned, with my patch and my patch will reduce the volume of it.

I also posted my modified Hunting Revolver patch of sushicid3. Base damage now on par with Basilisk, however since it uses .357, .44, 45-70 vs Basilisk .357, .44, .50AE so I guess you can use both for different scenarios. Hunting Revolver's range is also longer (as my patches) if I'm not mistaken. Note that 45-70, based on Horizon, only appears on High powered Rifles and it's an extremely rare but powerful ammo.

Thanks for making all these patches. I am having issues with one one of the guns.

My installation of Horizon is working perfectly. I have the following guns/coldev patches: Ozzys Aug, SPR, Daemon, Krebs, Honey badger, Sig MCX.

If my understanding of load order is correct, the basilisk being a single esp goes above the MCX. All weapon mods are in a block between Z_Horizon_DLC_All.esp and Z_Horizon_DEF_UI.

As soon as I install the basilisk, the game crashes.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a known issue with the basilisk? All other guns are working perfectly and I can not figure out why this one single esp is causing so much trouble.

Does your load order look like this:
      Z_Horizon.esp
      Z_Horizon_DLC_All.esp
      HorizonPatch_signalz.esp
      ...
      MW Basilisk.esp
      ...
      Z_Horizon_DEF_UI.esp

      Yes it does.
One thing maybe worth mentioning is that I also have some weapon patches by sushicid3. I have arranged these the same way as yours and as a block between *DLC_All.esp and *_DEF_UI.esp

What Horizon version are you using?
Did you download then install the original gun mod before letting my patch overwrite its esp?
Did you download the latest version of the main esp "HorizonPatch_signalz.esp"?

I am using the latest version of Horizon 1.9.4d
I have the original mod installed. I also have the original mod animation patch installed.
I have *_Signalz.esp and assets loaded in MO2 after the originals.

I did not notice there was a signalz update. I am using the signalz version from April. I will give the 9 May version a try.

EDIT: Updated signalz to 2.9f. Still the same issue. Do you know if there are compatibility issues with tac reload and bullet counted reload?

For reference, I have the honey badger, krebs, sig mcx, daemon, SPR300 and aug family all installed. All of those run perfectly. Its just the basilisk (my personal favourite) that doesnt work.

That's odd. I can see some other users (and me) are doing this weapon just fine. So there must be some problem on your end. Seems to be a load order problem. May I ask what Mod Manager are you using?

Can you post your load order? You can post it in https://www.toptal.com/developers/hastebin or similar then post the link here.
Or, an easier way, you can open a bug in the Bug tab and post your load order over there. I will read to see if I can help.

In the meantime, can you try installing and using the Basilisk without my patch to test if the problem is because of the original gun or mine?

I tried without your patch. The original mod causes it. I suspect some corrupted scripts. I will re-download and reinstall tomorrow. Will let you know.

The Magnum Revolver Rifle has some scripts in it, are those fine to keep in? "MagnumRevolverRifle_APPenalty.pex," "MagnumRevolverRifle_AddAmmoToLLScript.pex," and "QF_MagnumRevolverRifle_AddAM_01005486.pex"

Yes they are fine to keep. APPenalty.pex and QF_AddAM.pex is critical to keep please don't remove it. AddAmmoToLLScript can be removed tho.

Great work. I would consider making the Basilisk use the usual hunting rifle .308 ammo swaps, it's meant to be .500 S&W which delivers similar energy - granted might not be similar visually, but it's not like 357/44/50ae are either.

I would try my best to make it close to its real life counterpart, but I also avoid adding too many new ammunition types (as of now my patches has .277 and .300 as new Ammunition Types) and also the balance have to be thought about. Will see to this once I have some free time.

Just a heads up, there might be something wrong with the tactical reload for SR-25

My character starts the reload but it immediately gets cancelled. The only way to reload was to spend all the rounds in the mag for the "traditional" animation

Removing the tactical reload records in your patch fixes this though.

The reload is fine on my end though. Maybe because of Tactical reload's version? I use TR 1.1.

Hey there. Can I use just one or some of those weapons, or do I need all of them from the list for it to work correctly?

Using the M2045 magnum with the proper patches instantly CTDs if you mouse over the gun in the weapon bench. Imgur of my load order and plugins: https://imgur.com/a/CuQ6Ufh

Wrong load order. HorizonPatch_signalz.esp should must be load before M2045MagnumRevolverRifle.esp, think of HorizonPatch_signalz.esp as a resource/framework esp, M2045MagnumRevolver.esp or any of my modular patch make uses of assets from this resource esp.

It's my fault for not giving proper instruction tho. I will update the description and the sticky comment .

Just wanted to say thank you for doing this.

Been a year since i played Horizon but i remember being frustrated about the lack of modern weapon patches, so thanks!

Thanks for your kind words. I made these patches because of the exact same reason. And then I thought of sharing my patches to all those in need, because they must be facing the same frustration like I did, so I decided to polish them up and share here.

I'm going to be that guy I suppose. Subleader's MCX is the Virtus, not the Spear. It should be an assault rifle chambered in 5.56.

Correct. Actually that was the name the author gave the gun. Anyway, the name and ammo set will be adjusted accordingly in the next update
