Nearby threats are a whole lot more fun when you get the monster spawner, hook it to a switch, and spawn enemies into the monster-spawn zones near your settlement and watch the enemies you spawned fight the existing monsters that spawned... heh.
Just had the biggest settlement defense fight at Slog, tons of supermutants with rocket launchers and mini guns...built 6 rocket turrets, all destroyed, and Arlen Glass died...I hope I know this mod earlier...
No kidding. I feel like every attack on the Slog I have to pay extra attention to Deirdre, even after I give her exceptional armor. She dies so easily and doesn't seem to mind running into a fight.
you may want to consider doing the same thing for warrick homstead, if it hasnt already (i think some of the characters are involed in a institute quest though so make them protected if you do, and not essential.)
Great little change I'll definitely be using! Though FYI your protected version only has 2 of the 5 NPCs in it Unless that was intentional, then nevermind!
Yep I did, I have an NPC 'compilation' that I've been copying all edits to in order to save plug-in space, and just saw the difference between the two. I went with the essential version!
