Not sure if you already figured it out, but in BS when you want to apply a body shape to outfits you have to build them. When you have the body the way you want, down in the lower left is batch build. That should bring up a window where you check all the outfits you want the body to apply to. Oh, first hit the big BUILD button for the body, that will make that body the base male body. Then do your batch build. Hope that helps. I'm sure there are others more knowledgeable that could give better details.
Although years later... if someone happens by here with the same question, see my not-so-detailed reply to someone else. Or, here: You have to shape your body in BodySlide the way you want. Then hit BUILD on the bottom center. That will now save that shape as the base male shape for the whole game. Then at the top on the right half of the bar are two magnifying glass pull down menus. Click the tiny arrow of the first one and click Choose Group. Then any outfits you have installed will be in that menu. Unclick anything female only, tick whatever you want/can use. Click the little arrow again and choose refresh.
Now you can go down to the bottom left and click Batch Build. If you want the sliders in Race Menu tick the little box to create tri files as well. Once you click batch build, if any window pops up, make your selections and let it go. Now when you go into the game any available male outfits you built will fit your base male body shape you created. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of outfits/clothing that will show up in BodySlide for males. You'd either have to use Super Hero Body, which has more clothing available to use in BodySlide or search for mods that work for males and have BodySlide files. And good luck with that
Thanks for the effort, although it didn't exactly turn out perfectly. Let's call it a starting point. In any event, a mod that features a man's body is always great for the idea alone. With the legions of big, busty, bimbo mods that are turned out at record pace, I'll take a deformed male body any day.
yeah the vanilla mesh isn't all that great not enough vertexes, thinking of redoing the mod with EVB, or converting EVB to the sliders. that is if i get permission.
No, the vanilla mesh doesn't look great at all. They did much better work on the default Skyrim male than here. Sometimes I wonder about their design choices. They've never been very good at designing hair or faces either. You would think after all the extraordinary mods we've seen, Bethesda would up their game in the design department.
Does this differentiate between generic male bodies and player bodies? I want my male sole survivor to be somewhat taller then average but if its just one generic model any changes i make to him would change everyone else as well defeating the point.
Thank you for this!! Even though it's basic, and is something that can be built upon, like others have said it's a starting point... And it's a helluva lot more than anyone else has done.
