For some reason my companions see the junk frame sides as an impassable wall, cant see any conflicts or overrides in xedit

Have you installed SMM and made sure it is higher in the load order than my mod? I know you most likely have but I just want to make sure.
If you have then maybe try creating a new save to see if it shows then to confirm it's not a save issue.

(Sorry for the long wait for a reply, also if you do end up fixing it could you please let me know if you don't mind, thanks)

Hey there! I'm interested in porting this mod to Xbox as it would work really well in my console load order. Would this be something I could have your permission to do and publish on there? Full credit would be given to you of course! <3

Yeah sure! Just putting my name in the description or something is fine. Message me if you run into any issues or anything.

Proper looking gates, entrances, doorways, etc. that are both functional and would allow for robots and brahmin to make their way around have always been a struggle - a struggle you seem hellbent on solving! The Diamond City gate and the traincar gate are a w e s o m e, to say nothing of all of the variants of the other gates! Thank you!

    Nice idea and great execution!

You can also use the alternate ”painted” textures existing in the game files, to expand the number of the variants: ShackWoodTilePainted01_d.DDS and ShackWoodTilePainted02_d.DDS
Also, you can try to build ”semi” reinforced variants using plywood. Or, at least you can diversify the variants of the Market Gate. There are also 4 different textures.

There is now a plywood version of the junk gate. I can also look into making a painted category with all the painted wood versions. At some point.

I like the reinforced ones, thanks. Any chance of making them close automatically after use, similar to Auto Close Doors?

I recommend Workshop Framework's door management feature, as it has a far better implementation of this than I could ever do. Plus it works with pretty much all mods, including this one.

Man, I loved the idea of your mod, but I'm not going to download it because the walls are ugly.
This is not a criticism, I believe your work is great, but I could not use such ugly gates in my luxury settlements.
I have no idea how difficult it is to do the same on beautiful gates, as I'm not a mod author.
If you put up beautiful gates in the future, I will definitely download and endorse them after testing and everything is ok.

Buddy, instead of being rude, just simply don't download and move along.

I said it wasn't a criticism, I just made an observation. But if you think I was rude, even worse for you, that wasn't my intention, it's not my fault if you get all hurt just by simple words.

It's all good. I'm assuming by beautiful you mean clean-looking and not so wastelandy. If so I mean for now it's probably going to be mostly wasteland-type stuff and anything lore-friendly.

Exactly @DonPetrol, you were better with words.
That's why I said it wasn't a criticism, because for those who play in vanilla mode, this mod certainly has its good uses, but for players like me, who like to modify everything in a clean and luxurious way, despite the gates being automatic, I can't use it in my settlements, it would be very distorted.
