A super lightweight and vanilla-friendly overhaul of the FMS Northern Star Crew level lists. Utilizing only vanilla content, this is designed to be vanilla-friendly
and minimalistic. If you're into big overhauls with plenty of new
assets, this may not be the kind of mod for you.

The FMS Northern Star is a great location in Fallout 4 with a cool backstory. Norewiegen sailors beached on the Commonwealth's shores, ghoulified by the atomic blast. With few options left to turn to, the crew took to raiding to survive, making it nearly two centuries until coming face to face with the Sole Survivor. So why is it that aside from their unique combat dialogue, these raiders aren't distinct from the regular gangs? This mod will first and foremost give the crew the proper designation of "Northern Star Pirates". Now, before there are complaints about pirates being sea-faring only, that term also refers to land raids, which the Northern Star crew would have to be doing. Their aggression has been changed to be territorial to match their combat dialogue. In addition to being labeled as pirates, the crew now also wears fishing attire to set them apart from other hostile NPCs. This seems fitting, as the crew generally seem to be isolationists except when going out to pillage. While boarding their ship, they utter multiple pleas for you to leave or question what you're doing there. The exception to this is their pirate leader 'Rags' who sports beefy coastal armor. Their weapon pools remain untouched, as a ragtag survivalist group wouldn't care much for specific weapon affinity.

This is specifically designed to be a direct replacement, and therefore
directly edits level lists, outfit records, and sometimes NPC data. It will conflict with anything that also directly edits affected records, though will be compatible with mods that use level list injection. Keep this in mind when organizing and sorting your load order.

Drag and drop the contents of the mod into your game's "Data" folder,
and activate with the mod manager of your choice. Alternatively, install
directly through Mod Organizer 2.
