I think I had a conflict with the MO2 Git directory Skipper, when I went to check my rebuilt LOD using DoubleYou's LOD Tutorial I started the game using FO4Runner after replacing the MO2.exe of the Git Skipper, this for some reason caused my system to delete the MO2.exe
MO2 GIT directory Skipper is a recompiled MO2 (which means it would need to be recompiled every time MO2 updated) that AT BEST will knock off 1 second. Sometimes the juice simply isn't worth the squeeze.
As far as I understand it. It stops some of the problems associated with restarting the game which would be fixed by restarting the computer, because the game doesn't close all of the processes running in the background.
This forces unneeded processes to close instead of continuing to run, thus saving system resources and preventing bugs that may cause a CtD.
it is designed to kill redundant fallout 4 processes (fallout4.exe), before it launches F4SE. This is not something that happens every time, but when it does, the problem is hidden in the background, and fallout 4 will typically crash every time as a result, therein, the user is sometimes left hacking their own modlists apart trying to find the mod that broke fallout 4, when only, a restart or running task manager to manually kill the process, will fix it..I will try to clarify this further on the mod description.
I know what the author is talking about, sometimes the fallout 4 exe doesn't close itself on exit, and will be running in the background and can stop you from running it again or give you weird messages from mo2. For some reason this seems to happen a lot on fallout 4 but not on like skyrim for example, so this is a handy mod of not having to open the task manager to see if it's running a ghost process in the background ever again.
I see the update has a new program name, "AppRunnerF4SE-Ba" now is "FO4Runner-Ba". Do they have the same function with a different name? Also what is the difference between the two files, can you explain the timer thing?
I re-read the description and I gleaned that the new version is a "beefier" version. So get ride of the old version and use the new version.
Excellent work, I had been waiting for a mod like this for a while, it works great adding it and running it from MO2. I feel this mod has solved some of the problems I was having when starting F4SE.loader. Thanks for this mod. :D
