    Any chance you could make a tutorial on making custom crops?

      Honestly I considered it with how long and tricky this mod was to make (and to get everything to actually work). I don't have any actual plans on doing a tutorial at the moment because it's been a while since I've worked on this mod so I would have to re-learn a lot. But if I have some time in the future I may give it a shot.

    Hi! Is it safe to eslify mod?

      The mod does rely on SMM scripts that are not included in this mod, so there's always a risk of eslifying something that uses outside references. If you put the esl flag on the esp and keep it below SMM in the load order it might be okay, but I'm not 100% sure.

      Can you...make a esl version then? As the mod isn't big itself, it's generally really great to have no esp slot spent

      The best of all is an ESL-flagged ESP. ESP-FE plugins can be put lower but still don't count toward the plugin hard limit.

      I flagged my sword esp with the esl flag using FO4edit a little while ago, so I can give this one a shot too. I'll post it as an optional file, probably using the new script inject file (since it's the easiest for people to have less compatibility issues). It might take a second since I don't remember exactly how to do it.

      Okay, FO4edit actually threw an error for the script inject file, so I added the ESL flag to the Script Edit file instead. It's an ESL-flagged ESP, so should work as intended! It's listed as an optional file.

      I think that for injection you need to check references in script file too

    So... I installed the "Script Edit" version 1 day before you posted the "Script Inject" version, is it safe to swap them?

      Unfortunately I would say no, they edit the same thing and would likely cause either a bunch of duplicates or the resource variables to not work. They both do the same thing and if you don't use another mod that adds more food items it should still be ok to use the one that directly edits the script!

    Another site that should have the non-tree numbers would be 81. Failing that, a quest to bring samples to Dr. Penske? (Growing them in Secret 81 after Hole In The Wall for space and irony reasons...)

    Oh I love new crop mods, and these have such lovely models, great work! I also like that the alternative file actually hooks into the workshop parent quest, most crop mods miss that. If you'd like to resolve the conflict potential in the alt file you can use a script to inject it into workshop parent instead, it's not too hard to make an injector on your own but you may also use the open perms workshop parent script injector I made here if you wish.

      Thank you for the kind words! And thank you for recommending the script inject. I wanted to use one but don't know anything about scripting, so I was worried to do it (I don't want to mess with anyone's saves!) I will look into possibly adding an additional file that adds a script inject.

      I was just curious (since there was an update shortly after this post, I think?) did you and Ten ever work together on the injection model? I use the Settlement Gardener Bot so I get them added to my workbench anyway without manual work, but I figured I'd ask. :) Rebuilding a new master mod list for the post-New-Gen days.

      Hey there, no I wasn't able to get around to this yet unfortunately. I double checked and everything does still work after the new update at least so that's good. I do want to get a chance to do this when I can, I just got distracted working on an interiors mod. Sorry about that!

      No sorries needed whatsoever! As someone who's not super into the whole "everything you can eat is mutated and makes you miserable" side of the mythos this is still an instant include for me! :)

      All right, thank you for the reminder that I needed to get on this one honestly. I meant to get to it, but it fell to the backburner, so I took a break from what I was working on and got it done! It should be up and working now, but let me know if it's not working if you give it a shot!

    finally the fallout 4 mod for expand crop selection weve all been waiting for, i like the variety

    the only thing is though potatoes might be un-lorefriendly, the only place i know they exist on the east coast is rivet city in washington DC, so I recommend a lore-unfriendly tag.

      They appear to also be in Fallout New Vegas and were mentioned in Fallout 2.  Additionally functional vaults, or at least vaults with surviving farms, should be a source of potatoes.  The entry about them being extinct not only contradicts established lore it was rather nonsensical to begin with.  Just like House's statement that cats went extinct.  Characters and factions can be wrong and Bethedsa does screw up. :)

      Hey all thank you for looking into it further! I can always add the tag if people think it would help. I know individual lore kinda... changes sometimes between games like DigitalDisaster mentions lol. But I'd rather put it if people think it's still a good idea!

      Would be cool to disable the ones that haven't appeared post-war in other Fallout games, and maybe add some more that have?

      Or maybe move the source of them to Vault 81, since they're already experimenting with radiation-free crops and all that.

      I added the tag to avoid any confusion at this point. For anyone who wants to use it in a somewhat lore-friendly way, you could avoid harvesting the lore-unfriendly crops from the Derelict Farm (as they aren't integrated into the world anywhere else) and only plant the friendly ones at settlements. Thanks again all!

      They're actually mentioned in FO4. If you complete Into the Fire by bringing Daniel home, Abigail will threaten him and Abraham with "peeling potatoes for a month" if they continue to fight.

      interesting how in a tato most of it is actually the potato inside, so it may technically be a potato, you just need extra preparation so it dosent taste like garbage

    Great mod, I really like it, but what are  blueberries for? there are no recipes to cook food from them.

      Yeah there was originally going to be a blueberry pie, but I ran out of space on the texture atlases so I had to cut it out. So they're mostly just to be eaten at this point I guess.

    Appletree Bakery (and more) adds some of these already and I hope to avoid duplicate items like the deeply duplicated milk items of the above, the Coffee and Donuts CC item, SimSettlements,  Wasteland Imports...

    I had downloaded the scripted version and even translated it, but when I used Bash, problems were pointed out.
    I thought it was because of the script, so I downloaded the version without script, I wanted your mod more as a decoration, but when using Bash it gave the same warning.


    
    If someone tells me it's safe to use, that this warning is fake or how to fix this in Fo4Edit I'll use their mod, but just in case I won't enable it.I installed it but didn't start the game, so it's not in my saves.

      Hey thanks for pointing this out. I can take a look again but I ran it through FO4edit at the end and didn't see any dirty edits or anything? Not sure what would cause something like this?

      It was only Wrye Bash that pointed out this problem, I also ran other programs like Classic and FO4 and they didn't point out anything, so I think it's a false warning from the program.

      I'll install to a separate save to test.

      So I looked into it and I think it has to do with the fact I saved the file with the SMM plugin active. I re-saved them in the CK and the errors go away, so I'll update both files momentarily. Thanks for pointing this out! Let me know if the v2.0 files work for you and the error is gone.

      Hey, it's totally okay to translate the mod! I don't know Russian, so I wouldn't be able to do it myself. All I ask is to be credited and if possible link back here so people can report bugs and I can get them fixed if needed. (I won't be able to help fix any translations though, so I would appreciate if you kept an eye on that!) Thank you for the translation, though, it's nice to get more mods available to more people!
