What an insanely useful mod, I'm installing it right now and shall be watching its' progress from here on out Keep up the good work!
I personally like the healing aspect of the food items but I like buffs too, I need a lot of incentive to cook anything, both in a game and in real life, haha! Maybe in time you could make a pick-and-choose version customizable during installation, I'm very pleased with the current version though so don't go rushing to rebuild it based on my idle thoughts.
Yeah, I was thinking this is a good mod to try out my (newly acquired, purely theoretical at this point) FOMOD skillz. That way I can create a ton of options and not have my files section be ten pages long. I will likely include a Vanilla health, Longer-term health and no-health option for food; though the long-term health I had originally planned will not give less health, just give it over a longer period of time (more HoT, less direct heal). Ribeye Steak, for example, normally heals 11 HP/Second for 10 seconds. My version would likely change that to 0.5 HP per second for five minutes. That's just an example, I haven't even started that module yet
So, I've downloaded NX Pro Farming to check it out and the answer is kind of. CKO_Wildplants only overlaps with NXPro in the Flora entries of wild harvestables (specifically those that have domestic versions as well). CKO edits their loot to give you regular foods rather than wild foods, which are more useful in crafting. NXPro, on the other hand, makes wild plants able to be planted and assigned as a food resource. If you wanteed to use both, just load CKO_Wildplants after NX Pro Farming and it should all work out without any issues. You won't end up growing any Wild Corn (for example) because you will only get regular corn from wild corn plants. It doesn't interact with NXPro other than that.
This sounds awesome. If you could make an optional version that simply removes all healing from foods I would probably use it.As it is, I am struggling to make the game more difficult and I currently use a mod that removes all healing from food so I don't want to go back to make the game easier. Food having other effects would mean I could go back to cooking though in the game.
