Greetings. Soo on NG of this game the game loads with the town but when enable this pluggin the game stops loading.. I find that weird. any fix for it?
Hey, I'm dealing with a weird glitch with the mod where the city plan basically scraps itself other than the plots, and I have no idea how to fix it. Any advice on how to handle this matter would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure why that would happen. Make sure the settlement plugin is still enabled. Is it happening during an upgrade or initial building? Do you have city plans set to upgrade automatically - there have been reports that traveling to some interior game cells while an upgrade takes place can result in workshop framework getting mixed up and placing objects in the interior cell instead of the settlement world space
Everytimes I build a city plan , there is always 1 or 2 plots not built (stay at level 0) The Asam doesnt says what plot it is, so I am left with incomplete city design.
This happens to all city plan mods, not just Gavman. Either by city planner desk or workshop layout.
I have had plots not building no matter what I do in particular instances (My Castle and Lakeside cabin) but these seem to be related to what level the the plot is added and its location - the two mentioned plans I have working when I delay the addition of those plots in the city plan level... where as in a layout they can build fine... or vice versa (or for example if I raised the plot higher it will build - it's really confusing when trying to get everything building correctly and there is no logic to it). I think it might have something to do with the amount of scripts the game runs when building city plans - a large settlement design has lots going on so maybe some scripts don't complete as they should.
Another thing that can cause empty plots is if you are using the settings Auto Assignment ON and Assignment Requirements OFF. When there are higher ability requirements for a plot (advanced or Hi-Tech) the settler gets assigned to the plot, then the plot's plan will be changed to a random type that they can use (eg: basic - or since it's random another plan within that type of plot). However, typically they start building the usable plot straight away... unless you have Plot startup costs On in the settings.
Lastly, check the settings; Designer Choice, Starting Plot levels, and I think it's called Bypass Unlocks - these should all be set to ON I'm not sure what their default settings may be and if they change depending on the game difficulty set.
Edit: Just also thought of if you are missing any of the Add-on packs, the plot will be random, however may not build until a settler is assigned to it (and again depends on Plots costs settings)
Yes, I set everything to auto and disable all requirements, and bypass unlock / skill / resources.
Maybe my problem is due to having 0 settlers when building a cityplan. But I doubt that because 90% of plots are built. Or lastly, your last paragraph may be right, I will have to check that.
This city looks great! Every time I'm selecting a city in SS2, I check what the build looks like before I start construction, but whenever I see "Gavman" as author I never bother to confirm that the build isn't trash and dysfunctional.
Have you considered to make a city plan for University Point with immersive repair (also by tenhats)? I'm not sure how SS2 will interact with the immersive repair feature but it opens up a lot of flat spaces that can be used for interior plots. There's also the large slanted building which is basically unusable but perhaps someone more creative would know what to do with the space.
At some stage I may work on University Point, (I was actually one of the testers before it was released), however I can't say when. Currently, I'm working on the Bridgeport settlement that was release last month. Then have a few others as options on what to do after that.
Sorry for the delay in replying. I made a martial plot plan for plotapalooza and got a little burnt out of Fallout, (and currently taking a break with a BG3 play through). I also have a number of other plot plans I was working on.
I have done most of level 3 of my Bridgeport plan, needs a little more decoration here and there, But haven't started on the lower levels. I will get back to it once I feel a little more refreshed.
Yes, it's a lot more scenic that Hangman's just up the road! There are so many custom settlements to choose from, I get indecisive on which to build at next.

It might be SS2 related and heading over to search/ask over there on the forums might yield more answers.

Well done!
