I'm stickying this as I was just about to post basically what's stated here. I've gone into a deep pit of feature creep and have not backed up like a 1.5 version.
The mod IS available on Omega4D2s Discord server which does include the new cigarette animation and all other functions, but keep in mind that it's in active development and sometimes I add stuff that straight up doesn't work just to see what sticks and doesnt.
i got it to work and let me just say the mod LOOKS AMAZING!! the animations for the smoking is incredible. thank you so much for your hard work the wait was well worth it. if the beta looks this good cant imagine how much better it will be once its complete
amen to that, even tho the animations for smoking arnt the best in the current version on Nexus i so far love this mod because i prefer 1st person animations, only 2 wishes is that it also does cigars and possibly compatibility with Ketaro's World as i just discovered that mod too and it also looks great
2024-11-29: Attention! Lighthouse has been updated, just in time as I'm currently packing and testing the initial version of 2.0. This means that the matswap functions are available in Lighthouse and animations for all perk mags and ALL possible variations of Ketaros collectible cards will be implemented! Go and give Geluxrum your love, he's carrying us modders that aren't able to make F4SE plugins.
2024-10-26: I know a lot of you are following to see what's happening with this mod. Here's the update, the Lighthouse patch is taking so long that I've had time to start on v2.0. That means that I'm reworking the whole mod at this point. For those of you who's following my videos on TY you already know that v2.0 is including animations for interacting with doors/activators/harvesting ets. Another feature of v2.0 is what I've already stated about making this a true framework. Which makes it super easy to patch your own animations to stuff.
There will also be animations for vanilla food and chems on release, I might be getting some help from actual animators for this (fingers crossed). With all these features this mod is going to be hard incompatible with a lot of mods that does the same, but hopefully people will find patching for my mod easy, at least I'm doing my best on that part (because I also have a pretty cluttered mod list which requires patching).
I will release everything when v2.0 is done, and NOT when Lighthouse updates. The features that require the Lighthouse update will be removed for now, but implemented in the background and enabled when Lighthouse is ready.

I've taken your feedback and I'm going to recreate the cigarette animation and make it loooong. Also add a save feature.
Added stuff to the first person idle behavior file to make it possible to run animated objects in first person, going to be used to properly animate the cigarette like the 3rd person version.
Removed "not from inventory while you have your weapon out" restriction.
Should have fixed an issue where the animation didn't play when you pick up Bobbleheads (more specifically if you have Interaction Animations installed).
NOTABLE, the mod is going to be dependant on Lighthouse as Geluxrum has been so kind as to make functions I need. This makes it possible to:
-Add animated card pickup for ALL of Ketaros' collectible cards (the mod is done, working and being tested) -Add animations to all vanilla Perk Magazines (made and in game, currently has a bug that needs to be fixed)
I've also taken your feedback regarding the unnecessary use of BA2 archives. Animations, scripts and esps take very little space, the mod will be made into 1 download and all addons will easily be chosen and installed via the mod manager.
Please don't be afraid to add suggestions as comments or reply on other people's suggestions to push it higher. I'll read them sporadically and implement them if I also want that in game.

hi i have a mod installed called a smokeable cigar. which player shows smoking but in TPS if i installed this mod does it conflict with that mod? btw its a awesome animated smoking mod, this was im looking for.
2.0 should work with Fallout London, I tried it and it was working. But do remember that anything that I change, like the cigarettes, have to be patched or my mod has to be loaded after and overwrite.
since the lighthouse updated, i think it's only a question of time when the update will be released. im not developer or author but i think it will be ASAP
I know you said you're waiting on Lighthouse to update so that this mod can be updated, but I'm wondering if it's possible to patch this so that the first person animations play with Smokeables while also keeping the effects from smokeables, ie, the survival save, etc and how could I even go about patching it to work.
I would like to ask if it's safe to flag all the plugins of your mod as ESL.
At the moment, I see that only the bobblehead addon has been flagged, but the main plugin is empty (so it should be safe in theory). The other cigarettes plugin also doesn't seem to cause any trouble.
Just prefer to get confirmation, but would be nice to save on extra ESP slots.

while there is another mod "Smokeable Cigars - Cigarettes - Joints" it only covers 3rd person animations.
