Sorry everyone, I've been unable to create the default retexture for this for IRL reasons, HOWEVER! I am trying now and has come across some issues, mainly that the default texture is not simply a DDS file, it's some sort of dds file that uses the colors(guessing here) from the PA_Palette_d.dds and as such I simply made that palette darker to make it work with the texture I have in mind..
However, the eyes color does not seem to work when put in the x-01 default armor texture file but is probably taken from the palette and here is the issue, how in the hell do you know which pixel is the eyes in this regard? anyone here with knowledge over that system and/or tools for it? I simply does not know how to get past that...
so as far as I have now is the coloration, or in this case the lack thereof as a dark metallic look but the eyes are not orange and the enclave symbol is barely visible..
So yeah..working on it and if anyone know how to fix the issues above, reply to me!
about the other... you don't have to make this replace the default texture.
even WITHOUT making this standalone (which you should, given there is now a tool to help you do this), anyone can use this with PAMP (power armor materials AND paints), and it will allow them to modify materials like "prism" and use your texture as a paint on top.
it works with ALL power armor paint mods that I have tried so far (over 2 dozen).
I wanted to stop in and thank you for this mod, the eyes makes it. A lot of people think a black skin is all it takes to make Enclave APA, but you nailed that last detail. Just makes me warm inside to look at the suit and have those hexmeshed orange eyes stare back. Endorsed, voted, love it to death.
I REALLY REALLY appreciate this mod but its very messy, the fact NMM download kinda isn't an option f you don't want the PAFrame or jetpack retexture kinda annoys me which would force me to HAVE to download manually but I'd rather not because that's one of the messy things I was talking about in relation to this mod, It would be nice also to make the armor paint standalone instead of replacing the hotrodder pink paint, other than that this is a very nice retexture but sadly not one I'll be downloading...

it's a frame texture, and it's entirely separate.
here's someone who has figured out how to do it right:

ask him if you are still having difficulties?
