I would suggest learning how to use fo4edit or xedit. its easy to use. just compare my stats under race section and npc section with the esp of america rising 2.
Strange to find out this mod was crashing to desktop any save in an exterior location when trying to load. It was the 3rd mod I "switched off" out of 3 new ones I d/loaded over a week. And reading the description, I was surprised it was the culprit. Very likely not the mod's fault, though, as I remembered that there's a BoS mod I've had in my loadover for years, and checking it, found it edits the vertibird, too. My last save is usually in an interior location, anyways, but the one time out of 100 I save in an exterior, it happens. Luckily, I found out within a wk and not months later, so only had to delete a week's worth of saves to roll back to a save before mod installation.
Thanks for this. I've tried so many improved vertibird mods throughout the years. This is the only one that's made a truly noticeable difference. They finally have some staying power, making their fights with the bad guys on the ground more interesting and longer lasting. Great stuff.
Vertibird Pilots got more health and buffed stats since they could be a weakness if killed quickly.
Hmmm... for some reason the vertibirds in my game have never cared if their pilot died. Would you happen to know if there's another mod that causes that, or if it's vanilla behavior?
no idea, it might be vanilla. I think if the Vertibird loses all its health or engines then it can go down even if the pilot is still alive. I know in my game I have the health of all my minutemen and bos raised to 9k so when vertibirds go down most of the time the people inside it still survive maybe only 1 dies haha.
Pilots have long been the weakness for Vbirds in my game. Seen so many healthy Vbirds spiral out of control because the pilot was killed almost instantly. I have several Vbird upgrades, and killing the bird is hard now, unless I can hit the pilot. Thank you for sharing
