I made an expansion to RNS awhile back that added like 300 first names and last names (never got around to publishing but was still using it for myself before I swapped to Alias).
How difficult would it be to convert that to work with Alias? I'm not good at making mods, I just followed the RNS directions on how to add more names back in the RNS mod page.
Adding names to the Alias list is pretty much identical to how names are added to RNS. That is, open a new "Message," add the name you want, then create a new form ID in the appropriate male name/female name/surname/etc. header and point it at the new name you added to the "Message" list. If you're looking to add an entirely new category to the framework (e.g., settlers, BoS, Minutemen, etc.), you'd have to ask the Alias - Framework author for that.
Edit: As an FYI, although the directions given by RNS will work, they're actually more complicated than they need to be. I made my own Real Name Settlers Expanded using only fo4edit. Later, I recreated it using Alias, but the method was the same.
Edit #2: Also, be meticulous when you compare your new name list with the existing Alias name list to ensure you don't end up with duplicates.
