My companion is actually shooting at coming ennemis engaging hostile and not waiting for the ennemis to already beat his ass to start retaliate... Even shooting at enemis I haven't spotted yet.
I have been using PACE which does the same thing, but it was hit or miss on whether my followers would take the first shot, and they could be slow to respond. Now my entire team reacts immediately to any nearby threat, and just lets rip on the enemies without my commands, or even me being aware that there were enemies nearby. Maccready, Piper, Nick and X6 snipe enemies a block away that i didn't know were there. Codsworth rains down grenade clusters for no reason, and I just dive for cover knowing that a firefight is coming.
Works just fine with PACE, Liga, and Robco Smarter Companions. No issues whatsoever.
Is it possible to make companions take point like Dog Meat? There was a mod called companions range. I can't use it because it does not work with Liga of My Companions. It would be a nice add in. Thanks for hearing me out.

So hey, I get Nat every play through, after you turn her into an adult she's like a hound dog homing sensor, she even hollers when there's a zombie in the bushes waiting to jump out and scare the shat out me. Plus she's cute as a button, like a mini Piper. Highly recommend.
Maybe you can dig through Yoshii's code and find out wtf he did to make her so on point and give that to other companions.

A: Yes, as long as they use CurrentFollowerFaction(0x23C01).

A: As far as I'm concerned, there are no other mods that use my approach so it should be compatible with anything.
