I was about to ask if you will do Trappers and you have gone and done that. Are there plans to add female trappers too? Someone made female DC guards, the mod is FotC - Diamond City. Considering the fact that they managed to add female DC guards, is there any possibility you could do the same for Trappers? :)
(if only the other guy made prettier trappers too...)
Unfortunately, I can't make female Trappers because there aren't any female Trapper voice files (Trappers have their own voices and dialog). The same is true for DC security, so I don't know what the female DC security mod did to get around that.
Triggermen are next, which is already done. I just need to get screen shots. I'm expecting to post it on Monday.
NW raiders are slated for December, likely within the first half, but I have some other stuff I want to release that month, too, so we'll see. Disciples will be first, though.
I'm sure silent dialog is possible, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. That said, I strongly dislike silent dialog, especially for NPCs, so I won't be adding it to one of my own mods. On the other hand, I have some mod ideas I want to pursue that will require custom voicing, so if I'm able to figure out that side of things, I should be able to create female Trapper voices, too. That's far future stuff, though, and may not happen, but you never know!
The ones without beards are their women! Actually, Beth does this - Talon (except one dead female - maybe trans?), Legion, Trappers.
Lore-wise the sense is they're hunters & fishermen attracted by the island's wildlife but eventually driven mad by fog and never leave. And as males are generally bigger & stronger they're more suited as hunters & fishers in the post-apocalyptic's return to the stone age. Their women & kids are prob scattered among mainland coastal communities. Also, being fog-mad, these guys lost any of the sex drive that say drug-fuelled raiders might have, so no reason to see any females even as sex slaves, and it's no place for babies.
I don't doubt the lore at all but not everybody cares about lore more than just having diversity. :P Could be made as optional file if anything (if/whenever that's possible that is).
Well, I don't care if you don't care about lore, nor do I care whether you wish to add diversity for its own sake. I'm merely providing to anyone reading this thread possible reasons why Beth made it that way, and why from a realism standpoint it can make some sense.
At some point, Bethesda was going to make female Trappers, but the above is all that remains (or all that was made). No female voice files, though, and is essentially "cut content."
Trappers (along with Triggermen) were only on the "maybe" list until I looked into them a bit more and saw just how prevalent they are while having so little face variety. I forgot about the cannibal part, though, which means I'll be adding more blood to their faces in a future update.

Looking forward to your other mods!
