but why only clothing and weapons though? they never realeased settlement structures, furniture, decoration packs etc, nor items like Ion Brew in the commonwealth and such
idk while I appreciate the thought, I personally think less is more with this sort of thing because I dont want to play the mod on release finally; only for every unique object to already look familiar to me and thus robbing one of the intrinsic wow factor going in seeing less provides. That being said too I do think tactfully releasing a few things is smart for driving awareness and recruitment for these types of projects.
Basically im just saying they have probably already released enough for players like me until their full release.
@CHALLENGERIZER: I agree, but re: teaser releases, the problem is they're doing overkill, and how does it work if you've got these installed and London comes around? You'll probably either have to remove all the stuff they've released prior to avoid doubling up/conflicts or go with a version that has all the released stuff as a requirement (and Vortex will be a complete ball-ache if anything overwrites). I know you'll be getting, the content when you install the mod normally, but having a load of requirements on a mod will just end up in a messy load order- Why have 17 (at current count including London) mods when 1 does the job?
@iqoniq just use MO2 and create a seperate profile when Fallout: London releases... London will include all this stuff to begin with -it's basically a new game- but you shouldn't have any other mod active (minus a few light scripts) to avoid issues.
i thought the thing was done, and they were waiting on starfield hype to die down before doing it. well, starfield's losing players and has been for a while. and still no updates. i don't know what they're waiting on
@fickleton They're trying to avoid a Bethesda special. Releasing a 1/2 baked game riddled with bugs and CTD's. What follows next...? The whole community will coming after them with lanterns and pitchforks. Pretty sure they're polishing it up at this point.@iqoniq You bring up an interesting point regarding mods, if there's a ton of requirements as oppose to 1 ESM, folks with a massive mod list will be in tears. Now that I'm thinking about it, I only have 5 slots left. Worse case scenario is people will need to go through their LO and start turning ESPs into ESLs; this will obviously break any current save =/. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
I don't care if it's 2025. I wish they would just commit to a date, and if they can't hit that deadline, just say that, and set a new date. The issue in the modding and gaming industry is this notion that if there's nothing to say, don't say anything. WRONG. If there's nothing to say... SAY THAT! It's the zero communication that annoys interested parties... not the delays. How is this not obvious? /rant
Yo this is actually pretty dope. You even took the time to make two versions of the armor for female and male characters. Normally in most mods the clothing is just the male outfit grafted onto a female body. Looks exactly what a UK based apocalypses raider would be if we ever get a apocalypse game in London.
Looks amazing! Great work! I'm curious if you are considering adding The Luty SMG TO FOLON? It's a homemade firearm that was made in England by a man named Philip Luty. He was a gun rights activist who created The Luty out of tools and materials that can be found at any local hardware store. Brandon Herrera made a video on the firearm here and Ragnarr1313 uploaded a version of the gun here but it is missing the animations sadly. Hope this maybe sparks some creativity or inspiration for your team!
Neat idea, a real world pipe gun! There's another interesting youtube vid by the Forgotten Weapons folks here. But as a Brit (and one with former firearms training and military background, albeit air cadet then naval engineering), I can tell you Luty is prob more known in the US (at least by the gun-rights lobby cognoscenti) than he ever - EVER - was in the UK. Back here he was more of a local news story (if you lived in Yorkshire) than some national gun-rights Tom Paine-like figure some US gun-nuts might have you believe today.
And sadly the UK police's fears were borne-out as later various examples of his homemade SMG design (which he published) were used in various killings. Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not anti-gun, just anti SMG (or any auto-assault weapons) in civilian ownership.
