User friendly
• All features are fully configurable in the MCM. Don't like a feature? Tweak it or disable it
• Safe to install/uninstall at any time (use uninstall option in the MCM)
Looting takes time
• Quick loot is disabled on unsearched containers and bodies
• Opening unsearched containers does not reveal their contents instantly, they will appear one by one as your player searches
• This action makes sound that is detectable by hostile NPCs
• Holster your weapon to search more quickly and quietly
• Containers that have been previously searched can display their contents instantly. Option to re-enable the quick loot menu on searched containers also
NPCs hear your actions
• Be careful what you do while hostiles are nearby, NPCs will come to investigate suspicious sounds such as:
• Consuming items
• Reloading or equipping your weapon
• Lock picking and hacking
• Using the Pip-Boy
Requirements, Installation & Compatibility
Requirements
• Lighthouse Papyrus Extender - hard requirement to use the searching function. Unfortunately this is not NG compatible, but GELUXRUM is working on making me a little plugin just for Vulture to make it NG compatible. Watch this space.
• Fallsouls - unpauses the game while you search, highly recommended if you're using the searching function
Installation
• Install any time
• Load order doesn't matter
Uninstalling
• Open the MCM, click Prepare for Uninstall. This shuts down the scripts so they won't harm your save file.
• Save your game, quit to desktop and remove the mod
Known issues
• The searching mechanic conflicts with any vanilla or modded alterations to the default interaction prompt
• The Cannibal perk will override and disable Vulture on bodies
• You can't drag bodies if the loot module is enabled. This isn't an issue for me, but I could look into a fix if it bothers people
Incompatible
• The detectable sounds are 100% compatible with everything
• The searching mechanic is incompatible with anything which alters the default use prompt, such as:
• Alternative Activation Prompts
