   does this actually require the replacer? that's a purely aesthetic mod, right? why would a mod that affects stats require it?

      the thompson replacer mod also replaces the submachine gun's animation keywords to accommodate the stick mag reloads, so it is required. do you want a mod that increases the vanilla submachine gun's damage?

      ohh, I see! every new thing I learn about modding this engine makes it sound like more of a pain to work with lol
      and yes, I am looking for a mod to increase the submachine gun's damage, but I'm not picky on appearances - having the option to install less mods would be nice (for stability of course) but I'll take what I can get haha
