Please Note the Following: -This mod will apply the body explosion effect only to vanilla big guns which is 6 guns in total - look in xEdit if you are worried about another mod overwriting these vanilla guns. -All other gun edits are again just for vanilla guns and prevent guns from cutting off limbs and will instead explode them. You again can check xEdit to see if someone is overwritting these edits but these are minor and it wont really matter if you overwrite these edits. its just a small fix I provide. -If you want my explosion effect on a modded gun then just make the patch dependent on my mod so you can copy my ability from my big guns over to that gun - it will take you a second to do and I have open permissions for patches requiring my mod.
In all honesty, I just want a mod that lets gibbing and multi-limb single shot dismemberments (including all limb nongib dismemberments) like 3 and new vegas be a lot more common with ANY weapon. Especially with shotguns. It just really bugs me that bloody mess just doesn't work as fun as it did in 3 and new vegas. Especially some giant enemies that have dismemberments and even gibs but you'd never know until you keep shooting the corpse.
like the mod but I think I may have a conflict or something, enemies only explode if they're hit fast enough in their stagger/stun animations.
not sure what could be conflicting, xEdit obv has no conflicts from your object effects and I edited your weapon edits with a patch. other than that I didn't touch any object or magic effects.
I'm wondering if its Better Locational Damage, Simple Attack Reactions, or something else, does anyone else who uses this mod see this happen?
By vanilla the bloody mess perk is the only way to explode a body but then it does it for even a knife or whatever its comical. This mod is basically a surgical version and exact copy of the bloody mess perk. Essentially its the vanilla bloody mess perk but only works on big guns. This also means it works separate from bloody mess so of course if you take the bloody mess perk again everyone will explode for no reason. By vanilla basically a critical hit causes the bloody mess to trigger usually this occurs when the NPC is low health. If you 1 shot them its not enough to allow for a critical hit at least 1 hit has to happen before hand iirc and again thats vanilla. That said you need to at minimum hit someone 2 times before they have the potential to explode. If using a 50 cal for example that could be one shot in the chest one shot in the arm with the arm shot killing them that will likley lead to a exploded body scenario and exploded arm. Mini guns obvious shoot many bullets and exploded bodies easily due to this vanilla logic
Im not sure if that will help you but I wanted you to better understand what is happening to see if it helps you figure out what you are experiencing.
Hi, any plans to incorporate Robco Patcher to your mod's backend? It would allow for compatibility for most ammo/weapon mods without the need to patch.
I have open permissions for modifications and patches for my mod as long as they require my mod - and you can earn 100% DP so its totally acceptable for someone to do that if they want
