    Looking at the mod info, I gave Longfellow a Lever Action Rifle, but he ran out of ammo anyway. The mod appears to work fine e.g. with Cait. Did I misread, or is this a bug?

      It can be weird for some users, based on what other mods you are running and what keywords they mess with on weapons. That should have worked for longfellow

    This doesn't appear to work for me either. I'm using Life in the Ruins (your modlist) unaltered, tried giving Piper a 10mm pistol that I suppressed and hardened, and a single-shot laser rifle to Preston, both of whom will equip it, but swap to their default when combat starts (presumably because of a lack of ammo).

      Yeah they need at least a single ammo, and it needs to be a better weapon then their default

    this mod seems to just not be working for me -- I equip the weapons and a token bit of ammo, and they just use it up and go back to their default weapon like normal. Any ideas?

      All of them, it seems like -- I haven't confirmed it with every companion individually, but it's definitely happening with X6, Piper, Danse, and MacCready.  Tried multiple legendary and non-legendary weapons, always with the companion's original ammo type.

      I'm looking into whether it's a problem with the Perk distributor, since Curie's weapon fix that uses that doesn't seem to be working either.

    Hello

    Does Currie in her synth form have a proficiency? Her default weapon is a laser pistol which she seems to go back to even if given better laser/energy base weapons. Thanks!

      there was a bug on this, should be fixed in the most recent release

      No, he only uses melee weapons in the vanilla game, so I didn't give him one.

      Yeah :( I looked at his inventory and he only gets a sledgehammer. Oh well maybe I’ll just cheat thousands of rounds of Ammo into his inventory as a fix.

      nice mods by the way. I just joined up with your discord. I’m trying to work out my load order, was thinking of using your stuff as a base. Do you have a channel for discussing and resolving mod conflicts?

      That would actually be great as I haven't found anything like that on the nexus.
      Gonna be a patching nightmare though.

      It can be done in xEdit easily, just find companions (under NPC) and edit their heights

    How does this handle heavy weapons like the minigun, gatling laser, and flamer? or odd weapons like the harpoon gun, cryolator, or alien blaster?

      It doesn't. No companions are proficient in those.

      It's based on their default weapon, hurt check that in the wiki if you're not sure.
