- The Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch has been updated to v2.1.6, and with that update the bugs covered in this mod have been addressed directly by the patch. As such, I am discontinuing all future support and updates for this bugfix. You can still use this mod if you want. I'm fully aware that Fallout 4 v1.10.980 is rather controversial, and I don't make a habit of deleting my mod pages anyway. Many people will use the unofficial patch, but others may choose to remain on the old version of the game indefinitely. That choice is up to you to make.
I've preserved the original description below:
- Have you ever been running around the wasteland only to notice a red toolbox floating in midair? Perhaps with a safe floating next to it? Has that toolbox's casual disdain for Isaac Newton, gravity, and physics in general been enough to destroy your immersion and completely pull you out of the game? If so, then this is the fix for you! Now the rest of the pile of junk will no longer despawn.
FEATURES
- Fixes the "Radio in a Junk Pile" random encounter so that the radio and junk pile no longer despawn.

FAQ
- How do I start using this mod?
- Just install it! No configuration or special steps necessary.
- Yes. However, if your save already has floating objects as a result of this random encounter, there is no way to retroactively detect and fix them.
- The "Radio in a Junk Pile" random encounter is an object-type encounter. Those are fairly common and are designed to make permanent changes to your game world. Other examples of object encounters are a group of gunners trying to salvage a pre-war tank, or Mac and his beverage stand. Anyway, this particular encounter has a problem: only part of it is permanent. The titular radio and junk pile will despawn after a while if you leave the area, which leaves behind a red toolbox and safe, both of which may be floating in midair. This mod prevents those two pieces from despawning when you run into this encounter.
