hey super thanks for this mod, i was just thinking........gonna think out loud right now if you don't mind. This approach to adjusting PA is great, but reading the comments there seems to be issues with damage applying possibly due to conflicting mods and others with various other issues.
I think maybe you/someone could make another mod like this but "my idea" joke! you can steal it.....please steel it!
Can we just make it so that once a certain piece of PA is damaged you start taking a % of damage from being hit period, once a piece is broke you take increased damage, once more pieces start getting damaged/broke the % increases till 100% is applied. instead of having all these different multipliers/locational damage and added data functionality that causes incompatibility and issues, just straight up damage increase per part.... upgrades stay relevant... then its just a matter of caliber/ammo type with adds the differences. super easy super compatible no extra fluff
it doesnt seems to work, I still get damaged even by low level enemies with baseball bats or pipe weapons, while in the NPCs case i have to destroy the PA section to inflict damage, im using direct hit dont know if thats the issue
Are PA frames supposed to protect from 100% of damage all the time? Or am I having a weird mod conflict
I was fighting a raider in raider PA, but he was missing pieces. Even though I shot him in his naked-ish leg about 10 times it did 0 damage. I had to shoot his helmet a few times to destroy it, as it is the only piece that isn't covered by the frame, So all in all like 3 point-blank shotgun shots in the head to finally drop him.
Can somebody clarify how penetration calculation works? for example, considering low penetration of 20% and a gun that does 100 of damage, will the damage dealt be 20? regardless of DR/ER of the PA?
Is the PA DR/ER still relevant in that case, say a PA with DR of 1500 will still protect the user more than one with 1000? lowering that "20 damage" further than the one with 1000?
or is the PA health stat the only one that matters?
from what I have seen it seems like the damage that pens the bastion system then gets modified by the DR rating so that 20 damage drops even more. so the DR of the armor does still matter.
Hey how does this mod interact with Fallout 4's own armor penetration system? Like will a gun with the Penetrating legendary prefix or penetrating receiver attachment do anything besides more damage?
