Does this mod still work without extended dialogue? it seems it is not updated and not sure if it will be, so was just wondering for those who use this mod. Thanks.
my quest mods will continue to be exclusive to last gen because there is better technical support. Unless XDI gets updated these wont be playable on next gen.
Does Molly disappear from the world if playing on the next-gen update? I've been having trouble finding her lately at the settlement where I last left her.
Ok I scrolled through a few pages of comments but didn't really see anything like my problem. I love the character, however, Every time I load somewhere she has a different face texture. From black void to green ghoul skin and everywhere inbetween. It also started changing like that on dead bodies. I've tried messing with unique player and npc mods as well as some other things but I haven't found a solution yet.
I figured I'd post here anyways incase you knew some simple solution. I'm still endorsing anyways since this isn't your fault and you did a good job :)
Want an eval? I've played through your mod, not bad. She cute and has a great personality. But why is she there? You have to understand most guys don't want to roll around with some girl for no reason while she calls my character a dork all the time. Nor do i need to be reminded that my poor character who just lost his family and killed his granddad son that he's in the friend zone. Thats why female characters need an affinity system. There's plenty of characters that say random crap and shoot people all day. There's no place for the poor girl. Maybe add girl friend or boyfriend for her to react to? maybe we can become closer friends with benefits? Maybe she vows to be my platonic bodyguard? At this point shes just bait for super mutants. Just saying, for future creation. Dork.
Just came here to say pretty much the exact opposite as this dude. This girl is BY FAR my favorite companion mod I have found for Fallout 4. The character has an existence and personality that extends beyond the main character's story arc thus not only making her more believable but also adding some much needed believability to the setting itself. What's what? There are stories and things that happen without the protagonist being involved?? Heaven forbid! I also love the dork thing. It's freaking adorable and a clever way around the issue of character name that does not rely on predictable fallout tropes like vault dweller. Finally there's affect. Voice actors either have affect or they don't. This one does. I was previously using Heather as my go to companion mod, but the affect was not there in the voice and so immersion goes right out the window. This mod's also better in that it, again, does not make the npc orbit the main character like a satellite. She's her own person. That's what makes it good. I could take or leave the romance option. I trust the mod author's creative vision in this regard.
Thought I'd try this out. Rescuing Molly was simple (well, having an amped-up combat shotgun inside the Parkview Lounge helped ) and I'm quite content with being nicknamed "Dork". It's clearly not said with any hint of disdain or hostility, so I read it as a benign nickname.
Once outside Parkview, she stated that she needed guns, but wouldn't accept one of my spares. We got to Diamond City about 4am, so the weapons traders were asleep. Molly commented on this, and said that we'd have to wait. She waited for about 10 seconds, then looked up at a 45% angle and started to talk with the visibly-invisible, and silent, Arturo. She then asked me for caps (She won't accept my cast-offs, but will accept my cash? The baggage! ) and bought guns. I took the opportunity to top up her arsenal with a slugger, a combat shotty, and a combat rifle.
We've since defended Graygarden, and cleared out Andrews Station. This brings me to the pre-trigger, shall we say, to this post.
One of the issues of companions is that they will use ammo for any weapons other than their default, requiring you to keep them topped up if you don't want them to default to their default.
So, I thought I'd try Better Companions - All In One, which is supposed to stop the ammo count for each ammo type dropping below 1.
That was the pre-trigger, The trigger for my post is this:
Better Companions (BC) isn't recognising Molly. According to the BC FAQ, it's supposed to work with custom companions, provided that they use the game's default follower system.
Can you confirm that Molly does use this? If so, I can go to BC's author ask them to investigate.
Just want to post my appreciation for this mod. Endorsed. Great voice actor. Immersive quest design and implementation. Believable and consistent character writing. Not overburdened by feature bloat. 10/10. If you are thinking of doing a playthru with her, highly recommend doing a high INT science build. It just makes a lot of her dialogue funnier.
What do i need to do for her to stop calling me a dork because if anyone is a dork it is her for getting caught -____- Nice mod but the name calling is starting to grate
