Do you think it would be possible to force workshop menus text normalization, like all uppercase or just first letters capitalize? All in the name of the dear “consistency” that we all love?
mod worked for Dogmeat (cuz I wanted to rename him and basically use mods to convert him into a custom doggo companion) until mama murphy's dialogue happened (when talking to her) and then Dogmeat's name reverted.

Edit 2: yeah mama murphy messed up the name. fairly certain there's a command that fixes it though in console?
That’s interesting, try loading/recreating it again and loading your save post mama murphy. AFAIK there’s nothing that can be done about dogmeat and mama murphy’s interaction in realtime, but it should work just fine if you relaunch and load your custom name again.
Any chance you'd be able to do a decent follower creator mod with Robco? Most mods that allow us to make followers from scratch are either broke or abandoned. Here's hoping Fallout 4 gets a proper follower creator mod.
I love this idea!! Any chance we could get customizable names for the other companions? (I ask because I personally headcanon Curie as having the last name "Collins" after her programmer; I know Collins isn't a French name, but eh.) I'm sorry if that's a bigger undertaking than I might think, I'm just terrible with coding myself.
No problem, that’s an easy update. I just uploaded a custom edition that allows you to set your own names for every companion, and added some documentation for it on the description page. Thanks for the suggestion, enjoy :)

As for Deacon, I'm pretty sure that's not his given name too, so he probably chose his own last name and it's something cheesily pornstar-cringeworthy.
I saw a theory that Cait is Moriarty’s daughter, since her description of her parents is close to something that Moriarty would do and being sold into slavery is common in the Capital Wasteland.
The timeline is close, but I don’t remember if its perfect + we don’t have any official confirmation for Cait’s last name anywhere, so I split the mod into two editions to avoid unwanted feature creep/subjective choices.
Aha! Colin Moriarty of Moriarty's Saloon in Megaton. I can see that, there aren't a lot of Irish immigrants in Fallout lore so it makes some sense that people might connect them. I'd never heard that theory, but it sounds good enough to me.

I have zero idea what's going on, but my best guess is that maybe the mod's treating it as if Dog and Dogmeat are two seperate names?
