Yes, a truly unique version really adds something special to any weapon mod, especially when it has custom textures. Plus, I really don't get why so many weapon mod authors feel the urge to place their uniques at the Railroad HQ, of all places. After 1000's of hours of playing this game, I'm totally not going to follow the Freedom Trail again...
But isn't the Railroad Crew waiting there for you with some quest that you'll have to do before you get access to the actual HQ? It's been a long time since I've played vanilla quests...

The beauty of modding. Lets mod users place weapons/items wherever they want. If I place any items in the Railroad it's not the HQ but the DIA Cache locations instead. This way the locations are static, but the order I get those locations will change with each and every play through. As I advance I get a "new toy" as Tinker Tom promised. :D
