I have a mod called Better Locational Damage. It is a complete overhaul of Fallout 4s combat. I use tools to calculate damage values, using the Fallout 4 damage calculation formula. One day, I was testing my recent balance changes. I do that by spawning enemies, most of the time raiders and I modify their stats with console commands. I set their armor rating to 0 then to 50, then to 100 etc. Then I test the damage values which I calculated and see, if they are correct. And they were not. I wondered, what is wrong. I started a new game with a fresh character and checked again. The values were correct. I went back to my playthrough save and tested again. Wrong values. Took me hours to check everything. And then I checked my actor values, if something is there and then I saw hit. Without a weapon equipped, I already had 40 armor penetration. When I equipped my armor piering weapon, it added up to 80! That was wrong! My weapon only had 40 armor penetration. So yeah. Thats how I discovered that.
Ok. Thanks for the response. The downgraders require Steam so I'm unable to downgrade. Was trying to follow TMR without dowgrading but I guess I might have to try TMR with the GOG version though TMR says it's not supported.
